Help FFXIII: Help with chapter 7 boss?

Well i just ran through polumploem as fast as i could and it was soooo hard!
Motor cycles everywhere killing me!! they were so hard to get away from.
Plus they tried to force you to be a sentinel! Thats so mean!
I dont want them attacking me,go attack hope, but than he dies.
Anyway i ran away from everyb attle and im att he boss fight with the big red guy that throws you up into the air.
Hope dies every two secounds and there is not enough phoienex things in the world.
help!!!! :gasp:
This is harder than enli and enki!
i thought that would be the only tough boss in the game!
Help me!!!! D: D: D:
 
Well first off, the general 'rule' of RPGs is, if a boss is too tough, powertrain until you can beat it :hmmm:

As for strategy, if I were you i'd go for these six paradigms:

Snow-Hope
Commando-Medic
Ravager-Medic
Sentinel-Medic
Sentinel-Synergist
Commando-Ravager
Ravager-Ravager

With Sentinel, provoke the boss first until it's set to attack Snow, that will serve 2 purposes, it will guard Hope from the majority of damage as well as if you use Vendetta afterwards, all that focused damage will be brought straight back onto the boss.

Because you can't force an enemy to attack a specific character unless you provoke it's attention, and like it or not the Sentinel is vital in this battle.

However, if you're so against it, just keep Hope as a Medic at all times and switch Snow between Commando and Ravager. For extra help, get a role with Hope as Synergist, but don't stay on it for long or Hope is liable to get killed.

I cant really go power train, because im too weak to fight the enemies in that area.
The motor cycles are to tough and im sorta in a bad respawning point after dyeng from that boss.
Im cavedi n a little area and if i leabve for just a secound a motor cycle will get me!

I tried making hope a healer the entire time, but i still died because hope heals too slow.
 
Well, if you want a strategy to at least give you a chance, Sentinel would be good at least for the start.

If you are weak, as you say, keep Snow on Sentinel and Hope switching between Medic and Ravager. That way you can minimise the damage that the bikes do, especially with the dreaded gatling gun attack, Vendetta making this easier. Because of it's high HP you may want to keep playing defensively to keep yourself as strong as you can.

if you still struggle, i'd suggest using the shrouds fortisol and aegisol before the fight to buff yourself up and get a healthy amount of potions so Snow is able to lend some healing support when need be.
