Help FFXIII: Am I underleveled/trained?

Ok, so I'm wandering around the areas in Gran Pulse at the moment, did a few C'ieth stone missions... I just need to know if I'm ready to keep progressing in the chapter.

I'll give you my stats:

LIGHTNING:
HP - 2835
Strength - 416
Magic - 315
ATB Level - 5
Weapon - Gladius Lv. 8
Accessories - Platinum Bangle Lv. 1, Silver Bangle STARRED

FANG:
HP - 2480
Strength - 395
Magic - 211
Weapon - Bladed Lance Lv. 1
ATB Level - 4
Accessories - Titanium Bangle Lv. 1

HOPE:
HP - 2075
Strength - 305
Magic - 344
Weapon - Airwing Lv. 8
ATB Level - 4
Accessories - Tungsten Bangle STARRED, Mythril Bangle Lv. 1

SNOW:
HP - 2820
Strength - 425
Magic - 270
Weapon - Power Circle Lv. 12

ATB Level - 3 (Doesn't have Eidolon yet)

Hm, I think I had a little less and I was still OK. (as a matter of fact, I think I still have a little less and I'm on Chp 11)
 
I'm now grinding on these guys that give like 2800 CP per battle and the battle usually only takes 40 seconds - 1 minute to finish. So... Everyone's stats are higher now :S

Snow has 2920 HP now

Lightning has 2935 HP now

Fang has no HP difference but now has ATB Level 5.

And... yeah, everyone's a bit higher.
 
It would help if you mentioned where everyone was on their crystarium. Like levels with saying if they're halfway through a circle or such.

I honestly don't remember my stats from that point of the game, but I remember where I was on the crystarium.
 
I would say you are just ok. I reccomend you grind cp from the behemoth king and that big dog that are fighting near the save point of Mahabara. You will always get premeptive strike and you can stagger them eaisily. So yes just grind for now as there are really tough enemies. Careful of The behemoth kings Sunder attack.
 
Lightning just hit Commando Lv. 4, and is still Ravager Lv. 3 and Medic Lv. 3.

No one has learned any new jobs. Everybody is either a little bit past, or close to getting Lv. 4 of their main job.
 
You should be fine. There's actually a really good grinding spot in the next story area you go to, so if you need to, you could always grind there.

Agreed. Behemoth King is a tough enemy. I tried fighting it and failed miserably XD so, i'm currently grinding as well. Though, I don't have my PS3 on so I can't compare my stats to yours but, I think we're pretty close in the stats. I might come back later to post it but, I can't be bothered atm xD

Just keep grinding. It does get tedious sometimes, but in the long run things will go more smoothly for you :D

Don't forget to upgrade your weapons. I'd sell any unused accessories and then with the money you do receive buy components (the higher priced) they give you a lot of EXP so, it really helps you out there.
 
I'm doing fine in chapter 12, even though I only did like the first 4 mark missions and no grinding whatsoever. Most of my weapons are still tier 1 as well. The battles later in the game take a bit longer if you don't grind, but seeing how grinding takes up a crapload of time in and of itself....
