I just beat the game, and got my last Crystarium expansion. What level do the characters secondary roles max out at? I could be reading wrong but it looks like the book says 5, yet there is only 1 role sphere, which would put the different roles at 3?

It's their major, pre Chapter 10 roles they would reach higher levels. Hope, for example, majors in Ravager, Medic and Synergist, and will reach a higher level in those than Saboteur, Commando and Sentinel, which he only gains in Chapter 10.
