Everywhere else may have gotten Final Fantasy XIII for 360, but what about Japan, which had the game as a PS3 exclusive? And what about that Achievements list from the Xbox JP website? What do you say about those, Yoshinori Kitase?

“There’s no information we can reveal, no new information,” said Kitase, who was producer on the project, speaking at gamescom during a presentation of The 3rd Birthday.

“We know that information has been looked at by many people, but we can’t comment right now.”

As for Kitase and The 3rd Birthday, we’ve got some decent stuff from that. Stay tuned.

Thanks, Gaming Union.

I'm sure even if they did release a xbox 360 version for Japan...........it wouldn't significantly add to the FFXIII sales..........more people do own a PS3 than an Xbox 360 in Japan.

and most people who actually wanted to play FFXIII there I'm sure they have got a PS3 anyway........for either this or versus.........

It could also be a complete waste of time......

I wouldn't really bother actually. It's well known that Japan has little love for the Xbox 360 in comparison to its competitors. I doubt that releasing FFXIII on the 360 would contribute to that much in sales. The PS3 has more to offer (in terms of the home consoles) for a nation where the JRPG is the most dominant gaming genre. FFXIII is already exclusive to that console and those interested in the game would have already bought a PS3 to play it with beforehand. While there will definitely be Japanese Xbox 360 gamers who may no doubt not have played FFXIII before, I think this is a rather small percentage. I don't really know if this would amount to much.

I just find this unecessary. I mean its an exclusive on ps3 in Japan so why bring it to the 360. Plus isnt the ps3 version better? :wacky:

Maybe they will release some form of international version? who knows they might get a few 100k's in sales.

If it will bring in some money then I say go for it.

It's been confirmed by Dengeki magazine for the Xbox 360 in Japan hours ago and I'm a little late to the game. As this doesn't concern us, it doesn't really warrant a new thread.

After Dengeki confirmed Final Fantasy XIII for a Japanese release on Xbox 360, Microsoft held a pre-TGS conference where the overseas port became official.

Dubbed Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits International, the Xbox 360 version will launch in Japan on December 16, for 4,980 yen. It’s very cheap, explaining the Ultimate Hits in the title. Ultimate Hits is Square Enix’s budget line of games, meaning that Final Fantasy XIII will launch on Xbox 360 as an immediate budget title.

Like the North American version, Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360 in Japan will ship on three discs. It’ll include both Japanese and English voice-tracks and subtitle selections between Japanese, English, and other European languages. Rather than include the Japanese theme song, it’ll use Leona Lewis’ “My Hands” like the North American version does.

The only major new feature this version will have is an “Easy Mode”, allowing battles to end faster and drop rates to increase for players who just aren’t that good at the game.

Finally, the Xbox 360 version comes with a booklet called “Corridor of Memory”. It’ll include a collection of art from the game, a look at scenes that were cut from the final game, and an additional story that tells what happened to Lightning and company after the game’s end.

Well this is interesting. I always wanted to know what happened after the ending. Who knows? will they awake? Or actually I think it will be the wedding scene. Interesting though they also get a look at the cut content :hmmm:

I shouldn't care, but I'm still a little disgruntled. 3 DVDs discs manages to hold two audio tracks plus an extra mode in the game? >_>

Well, it's Japan. Figures S-E shows some lovin' to their home base.

I don't feel why they had the urge to include an "Easy" mode when the game is easy enough as it is 8( As for the booklet, I'm only interest because apparently the cut content was enough to make a "whole new game". Overall happy failing, every man and his dog knows how much Japan disown the 360. :dave:

I will just watch the additional parts on youtube instead of just not see it :monster: As for the cut content. Ill need youtube for that also or whereve I can find it. issapointed we didnt get everything as a whole though. Japan :rage: If they added additional acheivements I will get angry as I will only be known to 100% the "original version" :hmph:

The additional scenes are in the form of a booklet which means they'll be uploaded on the day most likely. :lew: I doubt there will be new achievements since there's no added content other than "Easy" mode which is just for people who want the story. It's an "International" version which basically says "JAPAN ONLY!". Although, this was announced at a Microsoft Conference so I bet there's a PS3 version too.
