What are the best places to grind cp and monster items... im on chapter 5 :D

After completing the game, my advice is to take your time and focus primarily on finding fragments. Some are a lot harder to find than others, and often require you to complete a large portion of the game to obtain.

There are two reasons for this.

I'm not at home so i don't have my xbox to refer to, so I don’t remember the specific dates. However, during your play through you will encounter hope numerous times. At one point he needs gravitation cores in order for the story to proceed. At some point during this quest he will offer you the chaos crystal quest, which leads do a one of a kind weapon. You are required to choose one weapon for either Noel or Serah, however the other can be purchased from Serendipity after the quest.

My recommendation is to take Serah's at first in order to boost her ravager skills, so you can stagger and deal heavier damage with Noel and commando monsters. This is good because the chaos weapons get stronger as you collect more fragments! Both weapons will be a big help for getting five star ratings for every battle, which of course increases your chances of better spoils from battles.

The second reason is for the fragment skills you obtain, which in my opinion are cheats that make certain aspects of the game a lot easier.
Farming and levelling being two of them. You will gain skills that increase CP per battle, increase the rate of which stronger monsters spawn, speed up game play, and other great benefits.

Additionally, find monsters that have great passive abilities like increasing rare drops, and combine them with monsters that have great physical stats to create monsters that are both super strong and also provide great benefits to your post battle spoils.

With all that in mind, head to the final Oerba you find, with the fragment skills activated, and look for the monster that comes from the distortion on the beach. It is a Ceith by the name of Respital or something, again I don’t have the xbox to refer to its actual name so that’s probably wrong, but you'll find it none the less. This monster has huge HP, but with a great combination of essential paradigms and strong monsters with post battle passive abilities, this battle can be done in a jiffy, with great rewards. You’ll get the rare drop of a Gold Bangle, A lot of Gill, and lots of CP. This monster is much harder to find prior to completing the game, but the fragment skills will let you find it. Post game, the monster will have a much higher spawn rate.

Alternatively, for early doors boosting, complete the monster hunts on Archylte Steppe, as they offer the best CP rewards in the game. 30k per battle. Plus you can also farm level 3 upwards potent monster materials in this area which is good for monster crystitarium expansion.

One more thing to consider is to get a good chocobo, I recommend silver, and win some chocobo races. Some of the prizes there are great. You can find the collectors catalogue, plus healing items such as Elixirs’. My advice is to go for strategic prizes that will benefit both your chocobo and your party. One race aim to win a chocobul, and next aim to win a spoil for the party. This will reduce the amount of money you have to spend on items to keep your chocobo in prime condition.

Cid Raines those 2 places are decent but not the best, I only get around 300-400 CP/Gil from those things.

does anyone know any other places atm I'm slowly leveling since I need 2300-2400 CP per level :/

the best places i heard is acidemia 400af, with the spawn rate of monsters and with the cp fragment skill, youi can get upto 1000 cp per a battle, you could easily get 30k cp in about half an hour :wacky:
