Can somebody give me a hint on how to find the Behemoth King? I am where it is supposed to be according to the game. The enemies in the area have all disappeared due to the killing of the lower behemoths. Is there something I am missing?

[Thread Moved to Help Booth]

You must kill all the enemies in the Ice Field of Clearsight, Edge of Reason, and The Feywood, and I think you must search around for any respawns. He should spawn near the Giruvegan Gigas Gate.

You will know you have killed everything, when at the first screen, cant remember which it is called, there are those stupid little onion guys , once they have spawned and been killed, wander back down to where the gate is, to the left and he should be there

if those little dudes havent appeared yet, just keep covering the ground til you are sure you have killed everything, it may take a while as things liek to respawn and its a large area

Kill every beast in the Feywood!? Is there anything in the actual game that hinted at that? The game only suggested killing the Behemoths in the area...

Its not the ENTIRE feywood, just those 2 areas, you know where the illusions are?

it won't come out unless everything is killed, and nah I dont think it hints at it in game, unless that dude in the clan drops hints, I just used the guide, and he turned up once Id killed those onion dudes

Ma'Kenroh only told me to "slay its kin." The Behemoth King was said to protect its lesser brothers in the area. That would, I hope, mean to most people to slay all of the Behemoths in the area.... This game is sick. This is one of the few games I have played that actually lies to me. I was actually lucky to find the Lyndwyrm. The game tells you to look in the Highlands, when the beast is truly in the Garden of Life's Circle.

By the way, this guy is FUCKING HARD, Yiazmat is just a tad bit harder than he is so be prepared. He has lots of palings so be ready to Scathe the shit out of him when he erects a paling. Be careful.
And you don't need to beat the Mandragoras to spawn him, just clear IFoC, go to TEoR and clear it too, go back to IFoC and search for any respawns, and then go to TEoR to clear the respawns. Go back and forth through this areas and he'll eventually spawn.

Hell Wyrm is piss easy, and Yiazmat is hard as fuck. Or at least that's how I saw it.

I have been playing this game for 150 hours. This is rediculous. I'm taking a break and playing something else. When I come back, I am going to use a guide.

oh yeah, it took me forever to find the behemoth king. It seems like there's always a monster you missed or just another respawn. He is pretty hard too so when you come back to the game be prepared to live in it for a while cause everything takes a long time to achive.

This guy just had alot of hp. i circled the two areas and went back to the bottom one when i was pretty sure that i killed all the enemies and sure enough he was there. the lack of a decent mini map and the heavy mist was a killer though. but my gambits were set, and i just switched attack with scathe.

and when he says to kill its kin, i think he's referring to the mist influencing all the beasts, just a thought. open to interpretation though.

And btw, its a great hunt to do when looking for tournesol! i went around leveling and killing all the snakes for the serpent eyes and gathering up valuable loot. its a good way to kill two birds with one stone, you want to kill everything, and then you can finish up with that dastardly big behemoth king.
Have Fun! :)

The right way!

From the teleport crystal in Giruvegan, enter the Feywood(after saving of course). In order for the Behemoth King to appear, as stated above, you need to kill EVERY creature in the following two areas only: "The Edge of Reason" and "Ice Field of Clearsight" I suggest running zigzag across the map for the first area, making your way up to the second, then staying just within sight of the wall and circling around the second area. I've noticed that most monsters(except for Giruveganus) tend to appear in proximity to the Shrines of the Lost.

After doing this, return to the first area and the Behemoth King should appear in-between the 2 bottom shrines, if not, you missed something. As gambits, have one character dedicated as a warrior mage(preferably a girl as they have more magic power) and set at least these two support gambits: Ally: Status= stop -> Chronos Tear and Ally= HP < 50% -> Curaja(its advisable to give this character sage's ring as well)... the other 2 characters should focus more on attacking(I'll assume you have your own system for your gambit set-up for ko's and whatnot)

Earlier in this thread people suggested using scathe... DO NOT USE SCATHE! Though its powerful, scathe takes too much time in casting and prevents the use of other magics, including curaja and arise... Set-up a gambit for Foe: Nearest visible - Attack and Foe: Nearest visible - Shock

The palings on Behemoth King switch between invulnerable to physical attack and invulnerable to magic... Switch the 2 attack gambits accordingly and you should be ok...

Also, I suggest Bubble belts, as the Behemoth King can do quite a bit of damage... Hope this helps and was not a total waste of my time typing out, I love this game!!
