FFX remake for the 360 and PS3?

I have to go 50/50 on this On the one hand yes a remake would be good, but FFX had its time, also whats the point? S-E has enough to do as it is, and Quality games are a rarity these days.

Some improvements they could make are to merge the 2 blitzball systems together creating fully controlled real time experience instead of one or the other.

Make the Battles real time?

Increase monsters levels as you grow on the Sphere grid.

Put in all the Hidden location from FFX-2 into the new FFX game to make side quests longer or provide more of them.

No fundamental changes to the stories would be made, but then again look at FFVII:wacky:

So why its nice to think of this being touched up and formated for the PS3, id much rather have a newer experience of the same caliber.
 
I'm not going to debate on whether a remake would be good/needed, and I know you don't care about whether I care about X or not. Therefore, let me get straight to the point of my post.

X was made for the PS2.

No PS2 games up to this point have made it to the 360.

The only Final Fantasy game to ever grace the 360 was Final Fantasy XIII, which sold rather terribly in comparison to its PS3 counterpart. Probably turned a profit, but was not nearly as successful. They'll probably make XV available to both consoles, but I don't foresee any of the past games being ported in the future.

No PS2 game has been "remade" for the PS3. They've released "remastered" editions with updated graphics (Sly series, Prince of Persia series, God of War I&II, etc), but the PS2's graphics are very powerful and a full remake wouldn't make much sense.

The PSP is too late in its life for a X port, and I'm not even sure it is capable of it.

Knowing all this, the most reasonable and feasible conclusions (in the near future) would be:

A) They "remaster" X and release it along with X-2 and XII in a PS3 compilation.

B) They port a version to the NGP
or
C) They don't bother with re-releasing it (in the near future).

Any other outcome is either impossible or implausible.
 
Well, it's official that square IS going to be doing re-mastering for a Square-Enix title and I am almost 85% sure it'll be a FF title. Which one? I am not that sure of, but I've read around that alot of developers are re-mastering games to the PS3 (godofwar 1 & 2) for the PS3. These normally include better graphics and maybe some extra features but it's still the same games if I am not mistaken.

So, I'd love to see FFX for the PS3 but who knows...=/.
 
I would like to see the game on Xbox/PSP.
It would be nice if they improve graphics.

However, major changes in the characters appearance, story or otherwise? No thank you. To me, FFX is good enough and with their recent releases, I have not been too impressed. That's just my opinion though - I like the game for how it currently is.
