Help [FFX-2] Getting all items in two playthroughs?

All the accessories and Garment Grids that is (and dresspheres too?).

I got FFX-2 on Sunday and have been trying to find out stuff about it. I know there's a certain point in the game where you have to give the sphere from Kilika Island to New Yevon to get some items you wouldn't be able to get if you gave the sphere to the Youth League. Now I'm finding out there's quite a few items to get from doing specific things and it's really confusing.

My question is: Is there some way I can find out how to get all the items on a not-100% file? I think I should be okay when I get to New Game Plus. (and I only want to play through this game twice. ^^;.)

Since I'll eventually be going for 100% story completion, I might as well really go for 100% in the game (not getting all the Sphere Break entry coins though. I could care less about that).

i think your gonna need more than two run through i think.... i'm not sure but in some parts you get like 5 different choices... like when you are in zanakand the convo you get like 6 options... sooo no... i would say ur gonna need more than 2 plays sorry :/

Really? And I thought just getting 100% story completion would be kind of a chore, but more than two playthroughs? I think I should just forget about that idea and just try to get the really good accessories. (like the Key to Success and the Invincible)

You must complete the game at least three times to get ALL of the items (which isn't worth it considering the game is so easy). There is a chest in Tobli's office (which you can visit in Chapter 5) in Guadosalam which contains an item based on the choices you made earlier in the game.

1. Crystal Ball- You get this by stopping Garik's effort to kill all the Guado, but don't complete Tobli's missions totally successfully. I got this because I sold 9 instead of all 10 tickets, so I couldn't get Episode Complete in Moonflow.

2. Key to Success- You get this from letting Garik slaughter the Guado but completing Tobli's missions successfully, but not stopping him during Chapter 2 (I believe).

3. Kaiser Knuckles- stop Garik, help out Tobli successfully.


Note: You must get the Kaiser Knuckles to get Episode Complete in both the Moonflow and Mt. Gagazet. You need Episode Complete in all areas to get the "ultimate dressphere", the Mascot.

I can win a Crystal Ball from Baralai in Chapter 5. The Key to Success is what I'm wanting to go after in one playthrough and the Kaiser Knuckles for when I go for 100%. I don't think that should be a problem.
