FFVII Remake?

I have never played Final Fantasy VII. It's a good game from what I hear and I think that I will download it to my PSP since it only costs ten dollars. I have played Crisis Core though and after seeing that I wish that they would remake Final Fantasy VII. Who wouldn't want to see a game with such a reputation remade with the graphics that you see in Crisis Core? They say that it isn't possible but I think that is just an excuse. If they made Crisis Core only a couple of years ago, they could remake the original. I would buy it.
