So I saw this video on youtube and thought the person had some reasons on why FFVII is not that good. It appears the guy is just a idiot and is totally biased vs FF7 and just bashes it without giving a reason why FFVII isn't good but says "your just a emo carrying a sword" if thats the best argument that FFVII haters have thats just sad.

What does everyone else think about the video?
 
So I take it you're DarkGanon3000? If someone doesn't like the game, then they simply don't like it. You don't have to bash him like you're doing in the comment section of the video. Personally, I like them game, but just like the guy in the video, I don't find it to be the "greatest game EVAR!!!"

That kind of leads me to believe that you and DarkGanon3000 are the same person. If I am correct, and I really do believe that I am, you're being very rude by calling him a dumbass because he made a video bashing a game that you like.

However, if I'm wrong, and you are not him... My bad. However, if the guy hates FFVII, let him. Calling him names and bashing, and insulting him isn't going to make things better. It's just going to lead to a huge argument, and the people are going to defend both sides and it will inevitably lead to a large-scale series of ad hominem assaults.

It's a sad truth, but the circle is just going to go on and on forever, despite what anyone does.

DarkGanon3000 (which I believe is you) is saying that he has no logical reasons on why he thinks the game is bad. It's an opinion of his, there doesn't necessarily need to be any logic. If he thinks the plot is bad, he can tell you why he thinks it is bad, but at the end of the day you're not going to see his side of the argument, simply because the things he calls bad, are the things that you find great about it.

EDIT: On another note, a lot of those games that he mentioned, (Even though some of them shouldn't be compared to an RPG) are actually pretty damned good. I love quite a few of them. :D

Yes I am Darkganon3000 and he called me a moron so I replied with a negative comment. Yes calling him that was my bad but in the video he insults people who like games like FF games. What im trying to say is if you are going to say why FFVII is bad at least give some info on why FFVII is bad. I know it's his opinion but saying ppl who like FF7 have bad taste crosses the line.

But hey I guess stuff like this happens all the time so it's natural.

I didn't take the liberty in going through all the comments. However, if he calls you an idiot for no apparent reason, just take that in stride as him proving your point. Most people will go straight to insulting when they feel in danger of losing an argument. Don't stoop to his level, or else the argument is going to get worse. Prove that you're the exception to the "FFVII fans are morons" rule and show him that he's wrong. :D
 
Yeah you are right, so I will just probally just leave and be the bigger man and just walk away as some say lol. Some people's rants are not that supportive sometimes and lack detail. I am a FF7 fan and proud of it. Its a great game but not perfect. I however believe FF7 to be one of the greatest games made.

I think people hate FF7 though because most of the fans. Im not one those fanboys. I think FFX is better then FF7 but its just opinion. My friend got me into the FF series during 2001, and am Thanful for that.

I think comparing RPG to shooter is really stupid and pointless IMO, but that guy did...Oh well.

Amusing how you can accuse this one of being a fanboy and telling him to get over himself, yet you have an image of Cloud and a chocobo from the game in your sig. :confused:

With that being said, I want people to really watch what they say in this thread. I won't tolerate any insulting or flaming of each other and if it's caught happening, you will receive an infraction without warning and this thread will be closed.

I really hate to say how immature both sides can be myself. If he was saying it about FF8, then none of you would be making a big deal over it. From my experience only fans get angry when someone insults a game. Still, saying that FF7 is overrated isn't that bad, it's the truth if you ask me. Now if he'd said it was bad because it was gay, well that's another story. I didn't hear him say that.

Oh, and Cloud is an Emo. I don't consider that a good or a bad thing.
 
Whilst I don't necessarily agree with the way he went about it, I have to agree with him to a degree. FFVII is very, stupidly overrated. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a fantastic game but overrated? Without a doubt.
Whilst it is a good game, it's just been hyped up so much and had much more attention than any FF to date, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Advent Children/Complete etc, now I'm not saying I don't like these things, quite the opposite, but it's getting a bit too much.
There's even speculation over a PS3 remake. I personally think an VIII/IX remake would be better, but again it's too much.
There's even raging debates over who likes Cloud and/or Sephiroith the most, and need I remind anyone of what happened in the LTD thread?
It's fanboy mania, and I loathe it as much as I love it for that one reason.

I don't really know who you think you are, but I have no tolerance for people like you. Not once did I accuse you of being a 'fangirl' I just thought it was rather strange you're biting this kid's head off and you have FFVII images in your sig. *shrugs* Also, Inuyasha being the only anime I've ever watched is a very stupid, pathetic and irrelevant assumption which is completely off the subject of this entire thread. I personally don't get the overrated/underrated debate. You either like it or you don't. All I ever see when those words are used is someone trying to tear down a game or boost a game. Yes some games are more popular but in the end it all comes down to preference. I could be wrong but I've never seen anything that'd make me rethink my opinion on that debate. And I'm talking about any game that has one for it, not just FFVII.
 
Everyone's going to have their own opinions on the game, that's just how things go. Some people will like it, others will not.

I don't agree with a lot of the things in the video, but if I have something I don't like about something, I usually try to use reasoning and logic to explain why it just didn't suit me. Simply throwing insults and remarks at something without grounds hardly helps your case. So I'm usually not a big fan of people who just sit there and complain about a game just to get some attention it seems.
 
Honestly? Both the OP post and the video make my LMAO. It's just a game, get over it! Who cares what other people think?

Its the same thing as those stupid computer wars. Its just a computer... it computes. I have a brush that I use to brush my hair. Big deal. Even if my friend says my brush sucks... why should I care? Its just a brush!

Its his opinion and even if he is a moron, even morons deserve to have opinions without being told they're wrong. In fact, as long as it's an opinion it can't ever be wrong or right because it's an opinion.

It works for some people like Spoony but he's funny so it works. But yeah I agree, it's all opinion. I don't comment on those type of videos anymore. Last one I did made me looking like a fool since it was supposed to be a silly video. I forgot to check who posted it. :dry: It was for VII but the opposit of that video.

I just said to THE PERSON WHO CREATED THIS THREAD that he overracted because some guy said FFVII is overrated and I think that just demonstrated the person is a fanboy.
And you said with all sarcasm (because you are an adminstrator perphaps?) that just because I have a picture of FFVII in sig means I'm a fangirl.That's what I interpreted with your sarcastic reponse,if it was not what you meant to sound like,I'm sorry,but that's just what it looks like when you use sarcasm.You don't sound nice.

I think somebody is taking what I said a little wrong here. I think you're the one blowing the whole thing out of proportion, and I certainly cannot see anywhere in this thread where I have made fun of you once. Nor have I made fun of anybody else. Also your initial reply may not have been directed towards me, but I am a member of staff, and if I see rule breaking beginning I'm obviously going to step in and do my job. It doesn't matter who you are. A stop will be put to it. The thing is, is you treat me or anybody else like that, you're going to pay the consequences for it. It doesn't matter if I'm staff or not. Hey its no problem at all dude. Im kool and rarely get mad. I am not a FF7 fanboy cause I don't say stuff like "FF7 is the greatest game ever" or FF7 has the best music in any game". I was stating my opinion and saying FF7 is a real good game and told the guy who made the video that he is worse then those fanboys and bashes people who like the game.

When I stated the truth he got scared and deleted my comments cause he knew he couldn't win the argument. He also blocked me lol. I showed him that he was the FF7 hater and he proved it by deleting the comments where I stated why he was wrong.

Just let the haters hate. You're never going to be able to stop them from complaining about it. Also, keep in mind that if someone tells you that they hate it, they just do. There doesn't have to be a logical answer to that. If they hate the story, then they hate it. It will be illogical to you because you like the story.

Personally, I found his reasons sound on why he hated the game. There was nothing illogical about it. However, to each his own.
