FFIII - Crystal 2nd class change

Errr im guessing your meaning when do you reach the next crystal for your nexy lot of jobs? if so I think its the Fire Crystal. Could be wrong.

when do i get my 2nd class change?? what scene?
req?

I you're talking about what I think you're talking about, then you need to beat the Tower of Owen (Kill Medusa at the top), and let Desch calm down the maelstrom so you can pass. Once that happens, you can pass and go see the happy (Actually, they're sad at that point>_< ) dwarves. They keep talkign about this guy called Gutsco and how he stole one of the Horns of Ice, and so you should find a pond in the cavern. Once you find it, turn into toads again like you did for the Tower of Owen and dive in. Once you come back in, you can change back.

Follow to the end of the cavern and beat Gutsco. You get the Horn of Ice back. Now, he disappears, and you have to get back out of the cave and return the horn to the dwarves. You'll see an extra shadow folowing you as you go back. Don't worry, that's supposed to happen, and you'll see why.

Return the horns after talking to the dwarf guarding the altar in the middle of their little cavern complex. Gutsco appears again and says he was disguised as your shadow. You can dive at him and atack now, since he's on the other side of the altar, so he runs off with both horns. Where did he go?

You should've seen another cavern above the Dwarven home when you came to the island. It's a very short distance, but since the mountains are blocking your way, then you need to take your ship and get to the other cavern by going around the mountains.

HOLY CRAP! IT'S LAVA! Yeah, it's all over this cave. There's a few handy items in here, so make sure you explore before advancing through each room, but watch your HP, because like in FFI, you're going to have to tolerate walking through a lot of lava.

Once you get to the end of the cavern, you'll see Gutsco and the Fire Crystal. He's pretty pissed that the guys in your party even exists, so he walks toward you. His new power makes the ground tremble as he walks, so you know yow much power he's gotten, but don't worry.

You'll get in a fight, and you will be fighting a giant salamander instead of Gutsco. Wait...that IS Gutsco! Yeah...is it me or do all FF villains turn into horrendous monster things before they die?^_^ Anyway, all you need to do here is ice the crap out of this bastard. Use Antarctic Winds, Blizzard, Blizzara, whatever. Ice is his weakness, so using it for two or three turns should kill it.

Gutsco is now dead, praise the good lord. You now have access to the Fire Crystal, so walk up to it, and have a nice chat. It'll give you some new classes. Although, out of the new set, I only found the Knight to be useful, as Knights are the only ones able to wield both Ragnarok and Excalibur. So...it would help if you had one. You get other other classes, like the Geomancer and the Evoker, but they're not really all that hot, since Geomancy takes FOREVER to start taking good effect, and Evokers' summoning magic just kind of sucks, compared to the REAL summoners (You'll get the real Summoner class at the end of the game, along with the ever awesome Sage). I, at this point in the game, had a Thief, a Red Mage, a White Mage, and a Warrior. All I did was change the Warrior to a Knight. It takes a while to get the Knight up to speed, but once you get their job levels around 25, they start to kick major ass, anmd what's cool is that you have the entire rest of the game to shape up your Knight, because it's probably the strongest class in the game, weapon-wise, whereas Summoners who have been White Mages get ridiculous amounts of MP, so their summon magic, which is way more powerful than Black Magic, and obnly takes one turn, kills almost every time.

So, yeah, I hope that helps. I've beaten this entire game, so if you need advice, then ask me.^_^
