Introducing the very first FFF Fan Dubbing Competition! With the huge success of Voices of FFF and the amount of willing participants when it came to submitting their voices for everyone to hear, we thought that this competition will bring us fun and entertainment in our community. Ever wanted to be a voice-over actors/actresses or maybe even see how well your voice match any characters? Well, here’s your chance to take part in a very new and fun competition that requires a bit of group effort. So here’s a short guideline to get you guys started.

-Guideline-

- Theme is Final Fantasy Advent Children

- We will provide 3 scenes for you guys to choose and work with. Choose wisely.

- Form a group of 2-5 members each (depending on how many characters are in the scene you chose) and provide voice-overs for the appropriate characters. Do make sure that at least one member in your group have some knowledge on “piecing” the voice-clips together and setting them up to look right.

- Dubbing should be original and creative. You may keep it similar to the scenes as far as lines go, but try to have some originality as well. You may add humour and wit if you guys want, but do try to stick to the theme. This means that you may not provide lines that have to do with X-Men or Final Fantasy X, but strictly in the world of Advent Children.

- You will have three weeks to finish the competition. If your guys need more time, an extension will be given.

- Voting will go up as soon as we receive all entries.

- Entries should be PMed to !BRITTANY/Ling Xiaoyu

1st Scene.

If people are really that confused about groups, I'll add something here explaining it fully.

Any problems with the files? PM me. Yes, they are meant to be muted. That's the point.

ONE. SCENE. PER. GROUP.

- Groups -

I'm going to explain this the best way I know how.
EXAMPLE:

K, D, B, and J decide to form a group. They pick a scene so that each of them has a part. The person assigned to presenting the video downloads it, and through MSN (Voice Clips) or any other way you know how, do the lines. The best quality lines are chosen and compiled into the video. In this case, J is in charge of the video. They fit the voices to the characters and try to make it look natural. After finishing the video, they upload it to YouTube/Mediafire (preferred) and PM the link to !BRITTANY along with the group's usernames and what role they play.


Only one scene is allowed per group. As for one person being in multiple groups, we can allow them to be in two groups in total, but not more than that. And that if possible they should try to avoid doing that unless it's absolutely necessary and the other group can't find anyone else to do a part.

So for example -
3rd scene - Vincent, Cloud and Marlene.
Blakstang83 does Vincent, Addle does Cloud, and !B does Marlene.
And then in another group, they are doing the 2nd scene - Yuffie, Vincent, Barret, Tifa, Caith Sith, Cid and Denzel. Well, they can't find a female member who would do Tifa, so they ask !B instead.
In that case it would be okay.

This is awesome. What I feel iffy about is, probably you're only allowed to be in one team.

MAYBE a good suggestion would be, is you can make a team, and request someone to be in your team?

So you're allowed to be in multiple teams, and the video that's liked the best by people wins?

Do I make sense here? I'm just saying anyone can have whoever they want in their team, and you can be requested for as much videos as you'd like, but in the end, it's gonna be the overall video that's gonna have to be picked? I dunno if that's fair or not. Sounds like a fun idea though.

For example.

Team 1 (3 people) want to use, say Stang as Barret, (ROFL)
But team 2, (2 people) want to use him as well, seeing they're doing another scene, and think he'd suit the voice.

Maybe that should be allowed? :ness: I dunno...

My suggestion is probably sheit. I'm definitely entering though, :awesome: Now to find out who's team I'm gonna be in... >.>

The only problem is if one person's in several groups they have more chance of getting a trophy, I'm not real sure if that's fair.

I'm in! I still don't see how I make a good Barrett, but general consensus says I do. I feel like I can immitate voices pretty well, so even if I do a Cid voice or something, it probably won't come out too bad. But the opportunity to have fun with some of my best FFF buddies is definitely a win-win situation! Props to Brittania for creating this contest! Let's have some fun everyone!

I'm fairly sure the post covers all questions, but if you still don't get something please post. Post even if you DO get it and you're just interested xP I'd like to know just how many people are into this.

This way we still have that competitive element in the equation, but if absolutely necessary anyone can be in two groups if the other group is having a hard time finding a voice for a character. Because otherwise if we let everyone be in multiple groups, that pretty much defeats the purpose of a 'competition' seeing as the members would receive awards no matter which video wins. So in order to prevent that but still allow anyone the option to be in another group, we'll limit it to 'two' groups and if it's only really necessary. =]


And I'm also in. I guess I'll mingle around in the SB and see who's looking for a female character. My voice is a little raspy at the moment - I keep coughing. Damn cold. -_-
 
Ohh I wanna do this, but I dunno how to do it :gasp: So just expect a voice on this end. ^.^'

I'm avaliable for seriousness and piss taking purposes, so yeah, I'll do any voice =D
