SE (Square Enix) Has always had their games on the Playstation ever since it was out.

I've heard some curios rumors about SE changing their Affiliates, though. Perhaps you could clarify them?

I've hear that Final Fantasy XIII (13) will be on more platforms than the Playstation 3. Is this true?

Remember, Playstation's 1, 2, and 3 are owned by Sony Computer Entertainment Of America, whom also own a large number of other electronics including Sound Systems, Televisions, DVD Players, and even Computers.

Nintendo focuses on video games only. Hence, Nintendo is smaller than Sony.

So assuming that Final Fantasy is on Nintendo product on the future, will it be worse because it's a small business, or better because it focuses on video games only.

Note: Nintendo is the producer of Wii, Gamecube, and the series of Nintendo DS.

If you ask me, Nintendo has better gameplay. Wii is an incredibly impressive improvement from the Gamecube.

Sadly, Playstation 3 is practically the same thing as Playstation 2, with a few improvements here and their. Which makes sense. Sony is a big corporation. They most likely made the Playstation 3 so they could have a few more 0's added on to that paycheck of theirs. If they wanted, they could sell, or simply stop, Playstation production and would still be a thriving company.

FFXI, much?

No.

Judging from Nintendo's past FF installments, no. Crystal Chronicles was gash. Now they're just getting ports and re-releases.

Well observed.

Why do you think Nintendo made the Wii? Or Microsoft made the XBox 360? Or Sega made the Master System? It's all about competing with your rivals.

I agree with you nintendo has much better gameplay dan PS3. Sony is really just worried about money and if dere on top or not which reminds which console is winning between de three?

Just a little feedback

FFXI, much?

I think the world would have kept spinning if you didn't mention the fact I forgot FFXI. FFXI is not relevant right now. Why? because im talking about future games.

You're positive? I want a source.

I see . . .

Well observed.

Well you're just a cheeky one aren't you?

WHAT? I never said anything about the competition being non-sense. I was just asking for clarification on the situation.

You said that all SE FF's had been on a Sony console. I was pointing out your error.

You're positive? I want a source.
And I want a gold plated toilet seat, but that's just not on the cards right now is it?
How can I give a source saying they aren't releasing XIII multi-platform, when it hasn't been announced? Use your common sense.

Again, well observed.

No, you said the only reason Sony released the PS3 was to make money, whereas Nintendo have some better motive. I was merely clarifying that that's the same reason Nintendo released the Wii; to keep the company from going under.

I haven't heard such rumors myself. I can't say which affiliates they'd be gaining if that happened to be the case.

While the game hasn't been confirmed as a PS3 exclusive, I doubt it'll appear on alternative platforms.

I've got it committed to memory.

True enough.

It won't make much of a difference. Nintendo is hardly a small company, anyway. They aren't responsible for developing the Final Fantasy titles that appear on their consoles just as Sony isn't responsible for developing the titles that appear on Playstation.

A lot depends on taste. In my opinion, calling the Wii a next-generation console is a bit of a stretch. As far as videogames go, it's a slight improvement over the Gamecube at best. With the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 both experimenting with motion-sensing gameplay, the Wii won't hold many unique functions. It'll still have Miis. Yay.

It's pretty much a Playstation 2 on steroids. Make no mistake, it can do far more than the Playstation 2 could. The improvements are pretty significant. Blue-ray alone allows for more content to be added to their games, creating a better gaming experience. The evolution of the PSN helps, too. I'd say that a Final Fantasy game releasing on the Playstation 3 would possess far more content than one releasing on the Wii.

I haven't heard about FFXIII being multi-platform. If it is, it'll probably be a few months after its PS3 launch. But I hope it stays a PS3 exclusive, honestly. I'd be driving myself crazy trying to complete all of the achievements if it released on the XBox 360.

I've heard from some sort of interview that it was going to stay soley on the PS3.

I fail to see how FFXIII would benefit on the Wii. The graphics the Wii probably could not be able to handle, plus, it's not as if youre going to do much with the Wii controls. All there is to Final Fantasy games is -

a) Running
b) Pressing whatever button to choose an option, such as casting a spell or speaking to a person

It seems very stupid to release a game like that on the Wii, where the controls won't be utilised efficiently.

The only games I can see FF wise on the Wii are not the standard FF titles like XII, or VIII - you know, not MAIN titles.

Orly nao? Wut about all the GameBoy games? Do those not exist anymoar?

Uh, newsflash, they've been making games for other consoles for quite a few years now.

I was completely unaware that Sony made anything but videogame consoles. Where do they sell these other gadgets? I has never seen them before.

I did not know that. Could have fooled me though, with them using the Wii and DS to branch out into things outside gaming territory (Wii Fit, for example). Guess that's just my wild imagination again.

So assuming that Final Fantasy is on Nintendo product on the future, will it be worse because it's a small business, or better because it focuses on video games only.
But it's been on Nintendo for quite some time now. Unless the place you live is undergoing some bizarre space-time effects that keep you in the past. Are Hilary and Obama on the news over there?

Note: Nintendo is the producer of Wii, Gamecube, and the series of Nintendo DS.
I was also completely unaware of this.

Well of course they do, they've always been innovators in the industry.

There are no improvements over the PS2. Graphics are better but that doesn't count for shit when it costs so much and you barely have any good games for it. And limited backwards compatibility = fail. And they did make the PS3 solely for money, they don't really care about their fans now, and their marketing is full of bullshit.

"Osorry guise, we cant put dualshock into Sixaxis controllers without fuXing it up." Thats a real shame, considering Pelican made a motion-sensing controller with dualshock for the PSone. I guess Sony forgot about that one :neomon:

For example, Crystal Chronicles. And maybe they'll try to make a ghastly Mystic Quest-like title as well. Hopefully we wont be seeing the likes of that anytime soon. They might even try to make a sequel to one like they did with FFXII (Revenant Wings on DS). You never know what they'll come up with! The only way is to wait and see how it all unfolds.

XIII for the Wii? I don't see it happening. The only other platform that I heard that XIII could possibly come out on is the Xbox360. But even then I'm pretty sure it was only a rumor.

on the wii it will improve massively

if it comes out on the wii i hope its like devil may cry slightly that would be good or the turn based system so the more accurate you are the more hance of criticial you have, or even FFXII style would rock because then it would be so slow

A don't think a Devil May Cry scheme would work very well with the Wiimote...maybe the classic controller or a GameCube controller. Either way there wouldn't be an advantage to having XIII on the Wii. As for accuracy, the only way that would work really is if they implemented a FPS system, like blows to the head and whatnot. That would be awfully hard in a game revolving more around swordplay. Not to mention SE are total graphics whores, and the graphics would suffer immensely if they were put on the Wii, so no way they'd do that.

lolwut, XII style SLOW? lmfao, XII was extremely fast-paced, what are you talking about?

I don't think it's a big deal to put an FF game on the wii. It would be kind of dumb, because the wii's nothing but a game cube with motion sensor controllers. And...there already is an FF game available on gamecube...Crystal Chronicles...

I highly DOUBT FFXIII will be on the wii though...PS3 and XboX are really starting to pick up the pace...PS3 especially.

XII IS NOT COMING OUT FOR THE WII! Stop listening to these rumors. You can find out what's true on official game new sites. :omg:

Actually I read on the the-magicbox.com in a Famitsu article SE announced that they will be developing games for the Wii. They didn't say what but expect seeing titles on the Wii. Who knows? Maybe some FF spin-off or a Kingdom Hearts game will be on the Wii. Also you guys do realize you can play with the Gamecube controller on a Wii.... ;/

Using the Gamecube controller on the Wii is usually for either an alternative for the motion controllers like on Smash Bros or for the Virtual Console, I doubt you'll see many games if any that'll use that control scheme only.

SE will only put out games on the Wii if they feel they'll do well which they probably will to an extent if only because the FF name is attached to it, just don't expect to see the main series making an appearance on the console anytime soon.

As pointless as the comments about the Wii lacking the graphical punch of the PS3 are the fact is is that SE can push themselves further on the PS3 so unless XIII bombs the main series will stay on the PS platform exclusively in the near future.
