Crisis Core Feelings towards Sephiroth

Actually in FFVII i felt bad for him anyways and hes always been my fave FF charecter lol CC only gave glimpses into his life befor VII and it really didnt change how I felt about him

I agree about what Crisis Core did in regards to making Sephiroth more relatable, & it was done very well, even though a few scenes got shafted (which, really, the original game can pick up the slack).

I would like to note, though, that there was a bit of a dark side to Sephiroth even then. In Before Crisis, when AVALANCH threatens Shinra, he slaughters them with brutality that freaks out the player Turk when she stumbles upon the bodies.

TBH I always kind of liked Sephiroth and was interested in how he acted before he went crazy. It's actually really cool to see him in that light and see how he interacts with other characters, it was exactly like I envisioned.

Sephiroth is all about the single desire and selfish motivation that can drive someone, even before his turn to the darkside he was pretty much there anyway dont you reckon, he just need a catalyst to set him off.

BTW he is my favorite character in all respects. When l faced Chaos on Dissidia with Seph l felt chaos was the underdog.....Just because l was familiar with Sephiroth and knew what he was capable off.

I just now realized that I didn't actually answer the OP.

Hmm...yes, I would say that Crisis Core did make me like Sephiroth more as a person.

In the original game, while his personality was still there, it was sort of ambiguous, due to time constraints. For instance, was he a dickhead for not searching for that missing soldier, or did he just recognize that he had a job to do?

Well yes it was showing that Sephiroth was more human and that there really was a story to him. One thing Crisis Core showed me was how awesome Sephiroth was in battle during the scene in the holograph-room-thingy.
