To put it simply:
What's your favorite genre?

Now, since I'm giving the adventure genre a 90% chance that most people are gonna vote for, please, please, try to vote your second favorite.... but meh, whatever, if adventure tickles your fancy, then fine. ^_^

I'd have picked adventure anyways :P
I like the way it transports me to different worlds....

P.S. Can someone please change the title to Favorite Genre?
I think it's more appropriate.

What no romance? :O

By far that is my favorite genre. And no, I'm not talking about the sleezy ones with a lot of sex in it. Those books, although are nice and juicy to read, only focus on the passion. I like romance novels that show another dimension to love which is the undying devotion and affection toward another person.

The Notebook is a perfect example. I loved both the book and the movie. I love how Noah continues to love Allie even when she develops Alzheimer's and continues to have hope that by reading the notebook to her that she will eventually regain her memory of him and their love. That type of love is not seen very often today.

By the way, comedy does not apply to only movies. There are some really witty and humorous books out there but the only difference between the comedy in books and the comedy in movies is that the books are much more artful and don't rely on vuglarity and crude humor.

Well yeah, you're right, some romance is alright, though I don't watch that much.
And yes, my ignorance was again exposed by the fact that I forgot the title of my own poll and omitted comedy from books altogether. :|

As far as books go, I prefer horror. I'm a huge Stephen King fan, so that's to be expected.

For movies, I prefer comedy or action/adventure. I despise horror and romance films.
 
Meh... Don't really care much for reading unless it pertains to my career, which those books are just a bunch of boring technical babble Lol...

Movies, yes!

My favorite Genre would be Comedies & Romantic Comedies. Next would be Sci-Fi, followed by Action/Adventure.
 
Definitley cyberpunk stuff...A Scanner Darkly, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (anything by Philip K. Dick, really), A Clockwork Orange, stuff like that.
 
im not much of a reader so il forget that.
as for films i like hard hitting films and ones based on true stories,
the city of god is my favourite film ever
bullet boy is also good
 
I just scanned this and even though I did say adventure, I wasn't too specific....
I like historical movies as well, big surprise, innit? :P
Band of Brothers, The Great Raid, and 300 were really good, though 300 was a bit overstretched, I don't particularly care.

i voted for adventure, but usually i like a good sciencie fiction fantasy/ adventure
 
Well, I picked horror as my other favourite isn't there and that's fantasy. I love horror movies and books but my greatest passion is all things fantasy. I love imursing myself in worlds where magic is real and dragons abound.
 
I like adventure/action films
But i can go with comedys as well if it is a decent one
 
I had adventure in mind as synonymous with fantasy, but oh well.

You could have picked adventure and that would've meant fantasy, but oh well. Bleh.
