External Hard-Drive Problem

hopefully someone out there will be able to tell me what the f**k is going on with my NexStar 3 (300 gb) 3.5" external hard-drive.

all of my drivers for the thing are up to date and it works fine.

however when I turn the damn thing on the blue light on the front of the drive keeps steadly blinking on and off repeatedly with no end in sight.


(the reason im extremely pissed is because the hard drive currently has my only backup of 25,000 songs )

any help would be, well, helpfull.

[Abstract Debauchery]

Touch the top and sides of it and see if you can feel it moving. If not, the disk may have stopped spinning. If that's the case, you're screwed, really. However, if it is still spinning, I have no idea.
