What did you think of Edward?

I used to hate using him in battle because he had a horrible attack and he would run away everytime he got hurt. I'm not a fan of the bard class either. Basically I found him pretty useless.

Last time I played the game though, I actually found his status aliment attacks pretty useful. They may have even saved my party a few times. I also like his story with Anna and Tellah. He's a well developed character in that respect.

Lol I hated him too at first, not because he was useless(he heals quite well), but.. uh.. I can't remember.
Maybe because he wasn't much of a prince, or he dwelt for Anna too much in the beginning.

But I got used to him, and started to like him.
 
I thought he was going to be pretty weak in the beginning when I first got him, but he's not too bad afterall. He's no Kain or Cecil, but he knows his role and does what he has to in the story so far. Not bad of a character, and like previously mentioned, his connection with Tellah and Anna is pretty sweet.
 
At first i didnt really like him he was pretty weak and useless in battle so i never used him, I thought his little story with anna was nice and i respected him alot more after the dark elf part, he might be useless but I guess he has his serves his perpose
 
Edwards shit quite frankly. One of the most useless FF characters in the entire seires! Sure his status attacks are pretty jive but thats about it.
 
i didnt mind his personality just the fact that he had very little hp and his attack power was low
although if you trigger the edward phyco glitch hes the best character :)
 
Rydia may... 'resurface'. Edward was neat, I wonder if he'd stuck around whether he could have charmed Zeromus.
 
i hated edward. he was weak and useless, onew of his abilitys - i foget which one - split a potion between the party - :dry: lotta use that is

Yeah He Would Have Been better As A High Levelled Character, But No one Uses Him Often..
 
Useless as he was, I always wish I had him with me during the Magnetic Cave. I mean, it's better than trying to beat that place with only four characters. >_<
 
I hated Edward. I only used him when i had to and the only thing i could do was use sing or whatever and that barely worked or use heal but that used up all of my potions...edward sucked.
 
Edward has the best post-70 random stat increase in the whole game - 4 points each to Strength, Vitality, Wisdom and Will - but unfortunately, he leaves far too soon for this to be of any use. On the plus side, if his pool of random stat increases was kept the same for the GBA version, then in said version he's far less useless than he used to be.
 
Edward did suck. I kept him out of my party as much as possible because he had low hp and when he came close to dying he would hide.
 
Edward was Terrible.
I just had him as my Healer.

It sucked in the GBA version how you had to use him against the final boss to unlock his Dungeon.
 
Wasnt he the guy that kept running away? Whenever he got hurt, he ran away and i couldnt heal him because when i did he ran fromt he healing.....he was unreliable to me.:worried:

Edward was a 2 way character...at times he was good later in the game but at the very start if he died i wouldnt revive him..simple fact that he didnt help much at that point in the game
 
As a fighter Edward sucks.

But storywise I kinda liked him. I felt sorry for him when lost Anna and I started a bit like him when he saved my sorry ass in Dark Elf.
