I just wanted to know an easier way to beat Evrae, because I beat him/her, then died from the machina and guns of The Yevon Guards.
Also, I didn't use this method, and don't plan to, but is it good?:
Customise Auron's,Tidus',Rikku's and Kimahri's armor to be stoneproof and poisonproof. Or at least Stone Ward and Poison Ward. When the battle starts, set Tidus to guard and attack with Kimahri once. Use Auron's Power Break and then Use Tidus to pull the ship away. Once away, bring in Lulu for Kimahri and use Focus+Reflex. Swap Rikku for Lulu and use an Al Bhed Potion to heal any losses. Have Rikku use Luck and Tidus use Cheer before moving in on Evrae. once there, pound him with Auron and Tidus. Auron should be doing 1000+ damage at this point. Use Tidus to cast Haste on everyone. Have Rikku heal with Al Bhed Potions. When Evrae throws its head back, order Cid to move the ship backwards. You should move out of Poison Breath in time, although, if you don't, use an Al Bhed Potion to restore order.
Once Evrae's HP goes under 10000, it'll do an attack called Swooping Scythe which will stop you from being able to retreat. At this point he should have only about 5000 HP left. Use anything Rikku has left, and any Overdrives to finish Evrae off.
I didn't use that method, but I'd like to know if its good, and if anyone has any suggestions to the help of killing Evrae easier, please say. Btw, only got 20000 Gil.
