Hi, I'm on the Dreadnought Leviathan, and I'm up to the part where I'm about to fight 2 Judges, 3 Imperial Swordsmen and the Imperial Magus, do you know where I mean?

Well if you do have you guys got any tips for this battle? It's so hard all of my characters are all dying straight away! I've got Fran and Balthier set with similar Gambits, Balthier's is 1# Ally: HP <50% > Cure 2# Foe: Nearest visible > Attack. Frans is basically the same only she attacks first rather then heals first. And then obviously theres me.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, there all leveled up fine... I think:
Vaan is Level 9
Balthier is Level 10
Fran is Level 10
Basch is Level 10 too, but that Vossler guy who just joined my party as a guest is at level 14... should I be at his level?

Thanks in advance if you can help me haha :)

Your main problem is that you are NOT leveled up "fine". I mean, it's been a while since I played this game, but level 9-10 definitely is low-leveled for that part of the game. Furthermore, guest part members are generally placed a few levels above your own, so you'll never be the same level as Vossler.

You might get lucky with a Quickening chain or something, but then you'll face Ghis + 3 Judges later on and they'll wipe the floor with you.

My advice? Level up 3 or 4 times, and try again. When you do, make sure you concentrate on one Judge at a time, since those are your main threats.

Oh my god really? :O I think I have a saved game back when I was in the Barheim Passage, I might go back there and train A LOT! Haha I thought I was leveled normal :'(

Thank you ^.^

yeah dude you are way too underleveled which is a trend i seriously suggest you do not follow. I was the same way during my first playthrough and i eventually got so frustrated in the later game that i just stopped playing altogether and when i did eventually start up again i had to restart my whole game and level up strategically and early so i wouldnt have to deal with it later

Thank you :D yeah I was wondering why I was struggling so much with so many fights! I went back to the Barheim Passage and now I'm on the levels I was on on my old game.
Vaan is 9, Balthier is 10, Fran is 10 and Basch is 10 :) so hopefully by the time I get back to the Leviathan place, my levels will be much higher.

I'm sure the Lhusu Mines are a good place to train, I don't know why I didn't before. Thanks :D

you don't actually have to go back to your earlier save to Train your party, i tended to get onto the leviathan at the level your at atm, but i purposely set off the alarms on the ship, and then slaughtered the imperial's that came to catch you (well kill you)

It is a good way of working up chains as the dogs are the only things that cancel you chain out, also, i tended not to use the foe=nearest visable gambit, Personally i found it easier to use the for=party leader target Gambit as that made sure thal all my characters attacked the same target at all times.

I used Dark and Disable on the judges. I don't know which of them worked, but I was taking alot less damage that way.

Disable immobilize and stop commands are good have a group with those spells and just make sure you keep healing stop or any of the commands above then use a raise or pheonix down if either one of them dies just make SURE YOU KEEP HEALING

*ahem*
The EASIEST way to defeat this (these?) mini-boss (bosses?) is to bring all the Imperials at one spot and use Warp on them, then cast Reflect on your party and have all your party members cast Dark on yourself. It worked for me on my Low Level Challenge, so I guess it works for everyone.

As for Ghis, the EASIEST way is to chain 3 or more level 1 Quickenings on Ghis, killing him instantly.
