The Boy Who Speaks of the Wind
Alright so we already know there are topics like who would you like SE added to Dissidia's sequel (if it's considered), so why not make a topic on how you would like for them to play their roles in the story? I can't explain much, but let my picks help you get started. Note that no one even knows if Dissidia 2 will ever come out, so no actual plot will be revealed here. However, remember to use the spoiler tags if you want to reveal spoilers from other games (including the first Dissidia).
A few more things before we get started. Feel free to add what you would put for new characters EX Modes and Bursts. If a topic like this exists already, by all means merge this one or delete it.
Overall
More heroes are summoned by Cosmos, who
is able to speak with the heroes (
). With
, you'd think no villains remain. Yet, a man by the name of Luther poses as a severe threat, threatening the worlds and the universe itself by planning to destroy the crystals. The villains aid him, but each with their own reasons.
New Hero/Villain: Maria and Leon (FFII)
Okay, so Maria is summoned by Cosmos and travels with Firion. While Firion gets his story and such, Maria wants nothing to do with this and just wants to go home.
Leon is summoned by Luther (who's identity will be explained later). A loner, Leon also wants nothing to do with the battle between good and evil. But the Emperor taints Leon's spirit with his dark magic, and thus becomes
Leon ambushes Firion and his party and both fight in a bitter struggle. Maria steps up when Firion is injured, and -- you know it -- brother and sister begin to fight. Maria emerges victorious, but Leon runs off before he could explain himself.
Maria
EX Mode: Red Mage
EX Burst: Multicast
Explanation: Since Firion gets mostly weapons, I think it'd be fair if Maria got the spells, both White and Black, thus making her a Red Mage. Her Ex Burst would be casting them all on the enemy and finishing off with either Flare or Ultima. Neat huh? That's what I would add.
Leon
EX Mode:
EX Burst: ?
It makes sense. If Leon is considered, THAT should be his EX Mode. I still couldn't think of the EX Burst, though.
New Hero/Villain: Eiko and Zorn & Thorn (FFIX)
The villain Zidane should fight should be different. If you passed Dissidia, you should know why.
Anyway, I'd make Eiko's story almost the opposite of Squall's from the first Dissidia. Since Eiko can't bear the thought of being alone, she travels with anyone by any means necessary. Maybe with Firion, Tidus, or Cloud. Someone she might fall in love with (she's likely to do so with anyone she finds gentlemanly or very heroic. I'd give an example, but that's for you to witness in FFIX).
Meanwhile, Zorn and Thorn work closely with a villain, since they're nothing but pawns at this point (perhaps Ultimecia, Emperor, or even Kefka). Their mission would be to isolate Eiko to hinder the heroes. Emotionally distraught, Eiko wouldn't be able to fight if she was all alone.
But moments after the clowns succeed, Eiko meets Squall (the biggest loner I could come up with) and is somehow encouraged by him. They both then set out to find the clowns, and succeed as well as finding the one they're working for (Ultimecia would be perfect at this point). Squall fights the villain, while Eiko musters the courage to fight the clowns. The heroes emerge victorious!
Eiko
EX Mode: Trance
Ex Burst: Terra Homing
Just like Zidane and Kuja before her, Eiko could also achieve Trance during battle. Her fighting style would be weak attacks but powerful buffs, typical White Mage. Terra Homing is when she summons her Eidolon, Madeen, to blast the enemy with holy light.
Zorn & Thorn
EX Mode: Meltigemini
EX Burst: ?
Zorn and Thorn would fight using co-op moves, as if you're controlling them like you would ONE character. Meltigemini would be their EX Mode, giving them more power. As for EX Burst, I'd say a combination of Venom Powder and Viral Smoke, or something new.
New Hero/Villain: Fayt Leingod and Luther (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time)
For the record, Star Ocean was made by Square-Enix, so there's always the chance --even a very very small one -- SO could be added. They have as much of a chance as Kingdom Hearts, in my opinion. It could happen, right?
Fayt is summoned by Cosmos, and she asks him personally to help the other heroes anyway he can. Maybe he could travel with Warrior of Light, maybe Zidane, or Terra, perhaps.
Finally, for Luther. Since I don't want to complicate this, I'll just say this right now: Luther claims to be a god, but only desires to destroy the worlds, one by one. The villains, like I mentioned, follow him. But each have their own intentions, except for Emperor, Kefka, and Exdeath, who desire nothing but the same. Sephiroth would aid Luther, but would be plotting to betray him later to claim godhood himself. Garland would plot similarly, but would rather rule the worlds with an iron fist. I don't know the other villains that well to describe what they would want.
Fayt
EX Mode: Destruction
EX Burst: Ethereal Blast
Fayt is the typical swordsman type, but his stats seem to be average. A pretty balanced character. His EX Mode would be
, allowing him to hover. His EX Burst would be firing a powerful blast of light.
Luther
EX Mode: Godhood
EX Burst: ? (I forget the name of his ultimate attack)
Luther wields a massive spear, and can use powerful spells too. His EX Mode makes him grow metallic wings, allowing him to hover as well. His EX Burst would be a variation of his ultimate atack in the game, perhaps with a Perfect Symmetry finish.
Final Boss: Necron.
In a similar stage of the game like Shade Impulse, Luther ultimately succeeds in destroying the crystals (which would herald the beginning of the end), but at the cost of his own life. All heroes and villains die in the process, and find themselves in the Hills of Despair.
Throughout the game, Cosmos strictly warns not to let Luther get away with his evil plans, or everything will surely perish. This time, I'd give hints throughout the game of Necron's existence, as I agree it was totally random in FFIX.
Enter Necron, as he once again concludes that life exists only to die. With the worlds now gone, he wants to take everyone and everything that's left to the zero world. The heroes protest. And the villains, although hesitantly, agree.
All heroes and villains engage Necron one at the time, and once the final blow is delivered, everyone is warped away to safety as Necron explodes.
Cosmos was able to bring the party to safety and back to life, but the struggle was not over yet. The villains were alive too, and they all request a final battle with their respective enemies. The heroes emerge victorious, and once again the villains fade into nothing.
Some things turn out differently, however. Once Maria and Leon fight one last time, he completely breaks free from the Emperor's magic, and apologizes for what he has done.
Cue the Dissidia ending as all the heroes head back to their respective worlds, but not before thanking each other. Leon takes a similar path, however, different from Firion and Maria.
Necron
EX Burst: Grand Cross
Necron just floats, but I'd have him launch magic missiles as well as powerful magic attacks (Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga). No EX Mode, but his attacks are pretty powerful, like Blue Shockwave (reduces HP to 1 if it connects) and Neutron Ring. EX Burst would be Grand Cross, were several planets launch several energy blasts at the opponent.
And that's what I would add to the sequel of Dissidia if I had the power. Sorry if it's too long.
What would you do? Use your imagination; the sky's the limit!
