This is a thread started to raise discussions and questions on the greatest Manga/Anime series of all time: Dragonball/Z/GT!

Personally, I wasn't to big on GT. I realy liked Z and DB, but GT sucked.
 
Dragonball Z was my favorite one. The only reason that I kept watching GT was because it was kind of cool seeing Gohon all grown up and married and such. I liked Pan a lot for some reason.

Trunks was always my favorite character in Dragonball for some reason. Especially the teen/future Trunks.
 
Really? the only time I watched GT after that abysmal Bebi Saga was the last couple episodes where [SPOILER}SSJ4 Gogeta was fighting Omega Shenron and he reverted beck to SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta and then (blah blah blah, won't explain the whole thing, but yes, I do know what happened between then and this point) Kid Goku Spirit Bombed (Genki Dama) Omega Shenron. I really liked the Dragonball Z series. You kow who my fav character was (as you can soooo tell by the avater)? GOTEN! he kicks so much ass.
 
He did kick a lot of ass for being such a little guy. I think he's the coolest out of the brothers too because Gohan kind of grew up to be a dork.

I didn't see too much of the GT series to be honest. I missed a lot of episodes. What I remember right now is something about space and Pan looking for Dragonballs there and Goku doing a lot of training. =/
 
I'm dissapointed that 5 minutes in Dragonball Z means 200 minutes of episodes *coughNAMEKcough*.

I wouldn't be making fun of it if they didn't make it so easy...
 
Other than the fact that Goten was there, I was really dissapointed with the Buu Saga. Android Saga sucked until the Cell Saga, and then it got good. But Buu saga was kinda...lacking. It also rose the suspense way too high and then dropped it and shot it up again. They were playing volleyball with our minds :lol:
 
Haha DBZ. Now that's something I haven't seen for a while.

Most of it was a sack of wank though. I mean, it was childish and incoherent.

But good fun.

But yeah, GT was shit. That's why Toriyama didn't make an AF or something to the same effect. Only the crappy writer and amazing artist really dedicated themselves to making another season, but it didn't fall through. Wish that the writer had been way better though. I've reviewed the storyline, and it's crappy. Better than GT though...
 
Z was the better series. DB never got my interest: not advanced enough. GT never got my interest either: never saw the end of the Buu saga, never caught the start of GT :P

DBZ was my favourite, then. The Frieza/Android/Cell saga's were the best. The only thing I didn't like was how ONE fight took about 8 episodes, consisting of "HOO HAA HOO HAA HOO HAA HOO HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! KAMEHAME- X_X"
 
lol so true. Yu should've seen the one between Vegetto and Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed). OMG! It was like, 8-10 episodes long. Boring (though Vegetto was kinda cool).

I personally think that DBZ Buu Saga and DB Uru-nai Baba Saga were the best (Buu only cuz of Goten).
 
Goku wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the box (such an old saying...), but he was a genius in fighting. I personally liked him as a kid best though. He may have been weaker, but it's always better to watch them develop than to see them at this huge power and mature. Goten was developing. that's why I liked him and Kid/Teen Gohan.

I like DBZ (obviously or I wouldn't have started this thread). It's very versatile. Deeper for the older ages (if you decide to look hard enough) and just plain stupid fun for the younger ones.
 
I was really excited about Z and watched when it premiered in the States, but I never watched the original Dragonball and I quit at the beginning of GT (I'm talking two episodes watched). The best part of Z was Piccolo, and my favorite part of the series was the whole Ginyu/Frieza saga on Namek. It's the classic. Plus, it was the first time we got to see Goku go Super Saiyan. To me, Cell was just a bad copy.
 
well yeah i like it as well, personally i hated how kid buu and omega shenron died, yes i watched the whole series, never got around to watch the DB series though... Anyway goku vs Perfect Cell and Goku vs Frieza wasn't that bad, though i did enjoy the broly movie as well as cooler's revenge... cooler looked the coolest... now as for the fusion reborn i love Gogeta and Vegito... Gogeta was the only reason that i watched the fight in GT as well as the SS4 goku and vegeta as well as vegito, they were the only reasons, now i just watch the movies... which are pretty cool
