Do you consider this low level?

Well, my friends and I started FFXII when it was launched in Europe, but one of friends stayed behind in the game cuz he can't play all days (his problem: his mom) and I've reached the following battles in the following levels: (levels are of Vaan, Balthier and Ashe, in this order)

-Tiamat: 25, 20, 19 (kinda hard but I did it)
-Mateus: 28, 25, 24 (easy stuff)
-Gilgamesh(first battle): 47, 33, 32 (armors were to weak, I stole the Gengi Shield and it was the best back then)
-Reaching Giruvegan: 48, 36, 33 (not hard, too easy)

And he had these levels:
(Vaan, Basch, Ashe)
-Tiamat: 33, 32, 32 (he says it was a hard battle)
-Mateus: 45, 44, 43 (he didn't said a thing about this one)
-Gilgamesh(first battle): 58, 58, 58 (he had Maximilians, I'll say it again, Maximilians, not one but 3, and he said that it was a very dificultt battle)
-Reaching Giruvegan: 61,62,60 (he is saying that the Feywood is too dificultt)

Do you think I did this on low levels, or he just... don't know.

Sure, navigating through the shrines is difficult..but at THOSE levels? I thought I had problems, but this kinda makes me laugh.

Tiamat hard at those levels too huh? XD

I kicked his arse at lv 27, main party. Maybe he had crappy battling techniques?
 
i think he may be lying to you - no offense or anything - but the Feywood is easy when your level 40 - never mind 60+ O_O

And your not low leveled either - you could beat the game at the levels you are now - i did ^_^
 
Well, I'm just curious about Zodiark, I saw some people that fought it levels 65 with Reddas(also level65), and I've done it at level 60, without guests.

i think i beated mateus and tiamat with the same level as yours...i stil haven't fought gilgamesh though...but does anyone think that is possible to beat chaos with all characters at level 50?
 
Sounds like someone didn't have Gambits. That, or he just... has no tacticianing what-so-ever.

I think I was a few levels under what was recommended throughout the game until the later stages, where I was considerably over leveled for the fight with Vayne.
 
Yeah I gotta say I don't know how he'd think any of those things were difficult at those levels.

When I got to Giruvegan my main party's levels were in the mid 60's, and I had quite and easy time.

Like others have said, he's either lying or he just can't play worth a shit xD

Definitely. I fought Chaos at about level 60, and it was reeeeeeeeally easy after I beat his chaosjet buddies. If you've got good weapons, armor, and gambits I'd definitely say you could beat Chaos at lvl. 50...
