I have just beaten the first final fantasy game I have ever played: Final Fantasy IV. A part of the game that really disturbed me was what the doctor who was working under Rubicante did to Edge's parents...And the "Cry In Sorrow" theme made it even more haunting...

What part in a Final Fantasy game disturbed you?

FF IV-When Cecil finds out in the Summoners village that the Mist Dragon he just killed was Rydia's mother.

FF V- : When your on the boat and Galuf finds out that Exdeath has found you. 0_0
:When Exdeath uses the power of the crystals to torture Bartz and the rest.

FF VI- Nothing really..

FF VII- Wall Market and the Northern Crater/ Promised Land after getting back the Black Materia from Sephiroth, and Sephiroth appears in the background with glowing red eyes and tells Cloud from his mind to summon the Black Materia..

FF VIII- Seeing all of the monsters on the moon, growing and seeing all the blood on the moon..

FF IX- Finding out that Kuja is male >__>

FF X- Whenever Seymour was breathing deeply/ staring at Yuna, or stalking her..

FFX2- Sadly the whole game.( minus Baralai and Yuna's new confidence ^^ )

I don't know for you all, but I had one very distinct, disturbing scene in my head. And that was during FFVIII. At that time I think I was 12 or something, and there was this SeeD exam in Dollet. In the end this giant crab/spider like machine starts to chase you down all the way from the top of the tower to the dock. Don't know why but for me then it was scary as hell. The time counter on top, the menancing looking crab/spider machine which always seem to be accelerating towards my party though seemingly distant away. Kind of scary.

One disturbing moment that immediately comes to mind is when Sephiroth burned down Cloud’s home-town and then casually walked through the flames a bit like Satan. Ohhhhh... I was sooooo scared.

Realizing Firion came inches from getting down with a monster disguised as the princess in FFII. I knew there was something wrong as soon as I saw her on the bed. >_>

When Sephiroth burned Nibelheim. That was horrible D= The fact that Cloud witnessed it makes it even worst.

And in FFVIII, seeing Rinoa walk like a zombie (when possesed by Ultimecia) is very disturbing too O.O

Hmm...ExDeath burning the forest of Mua comes to mind...or "Void"-ing all of the moogles. I will agree that the doctor experimenting on Edge's folks was pretty twisted.

For me, it's when Eiko tries to hit on Zidane, when he's an undetermined age older then her.

When I started playing FFXII and I heard Vaan speak for the first time and started to see just how annoying it was, and square didnt just leave that disturbing moment for just a moment, it was the entire game

Underwater in FF7, Emerald weapon floating around scared me.

Also in FF9 I thought Eiko was naked below the waist. (I was a kid, I knew nothing of nudity)

ffviii....going for a talk with the president......and end up fighting a zombie that is throwing different status effects at you......surely wasnt prepared for something like that...

I can't say I was ever scared in an FF game, but I can say there were a few disturbing moments in some of the games. In FFVIII, when Rinoa is first possessed by Ultimecia, and she's just floating eerily along, plus the music that played was quite creepy.

Another disturbing moment was in FFVII when Hojo actually was going to attemp to breed Aerith with RedXIII. I'm sorry, but that's just fucking sick and disturbing...very wrong. Then again, Hojo was a very fucked up individual.

Or was he just fucked up to everyone else? He could have been onto something with the trying to revive the ancients. But that's not to see it's the right way to go about it.

There have been moments where i was like "What the fuck just happened?" But nothing has ever mad me scared or cry or all that jazzy stuff.

Absolutely; I've always wondered what would've proceeded if you hadn't barged in when you did. xD

the scene with cloud and all those gay men....wtf was that O.O
Due to a dysfunctional multi-quote option, I've only quoted this post (but rest assured that the following applies to more than just this!): remember, everyone, to do what you can to avoid one-liners and posts lacking in any elaboration or thinking. Thanks. :)

The only really disturbing moment for me in FF was the beginning of the Grand Cross music you heard in FFIX, before facing Necron. Hearing those moans of people really freaked me out.

Sephiroth...whenever the little jenova music started or someone mentioned he might be around I was just like 'uh, you guys? I don't think we should be here'. The weapons floating around too. I would just be sitting there trying to decide where to go and the next thing I know the Ultima weapon would fly into me. Or the time I was heading to Gelnika...and I thought that the emerald weapon couldn't go into the little canyons and that it only swam around the big part. The minute I got into the canyon I was like 'woot! safety!' and then almost ran straight into the emerald weapon who was just like..sitting in front of gelnika. I wanted to cry.

On a less scary and just very very disturbing note...Yuna and Tidus and the laughing scene from FFX. Anyone who's played knows what I am talking about. I't painful to watch.

I couldnt think of something but thats it. It was quite disturbing watching a nine year old trying to win the love of someone 6 years her senior. The scene in madain sari where Zidane explains how good it is to let it go under the stars was also a little disturbing but very funny at the same time.

^Just to make it even more disgusting, Eiko's actually six.

LOL same :cassy: I was also 12 at the time, and FF8 was my first game ever for the playstation. The whole realism of it all just made me trip all the more ballz. roflllzzzz
