Help [Disc 4] The castle

Okay, so there is that strange piano thing (or whatever it is) which you can play on. I figured out it connected to the bars and playing right should open the entrance.

So first I did some checks. Each button you play relates to one specific bar.
So I tried inputing the buttons in different ways. Either opening the bars from right side, from left side, from the middle. But nothing...
I got bored of it and went on.

After being beaten 3 times by Ultimecia, I was really furious.
Aside of doing training, I wanted to find anything possible in her castle.
So I once again returned to this piano.
I tried, again, some strange combinations. But it didn't work
So I just started randomly spaming buttons like crazy.

And geuss what? It worked! And my fingers ached.... :wtf:


So my question is: WTF? How does it really work? Is it really about spaming buttons? Or there is some trick to it?

Im pretty sure you just have to hit all the keys at once, so you would just have to press every button on your control pad I guess....

Ive had it open before but he last play through for the LIFE of me I couldn't get the mofo to open, what do you get, a rosetta stone or some shit..?

I'm sure I came to the conclusion it wasn't worth the effort when it refused to open anyway ¬_¬

It's to do with pictures on the wall or something like that, then you have to press them in a specific order.
There's, I think 8 bosses in the castle each unlocks an ability, though I can't remember if Omega weapon is included in that 8, I doubt it though. But if you can't beat Ultamecia, you shouldn't be fighting Omega weapon. You can also draw any GFs you missed out from the 8 bosses.

You have to hit all the keys at the same time. With 4 buttons on the pad and the L and R buttons, makes this really annoying. One of my playthroughs, I spent a good hour on this. I was trying to press the L and R buttons on the floor while hitting the other 4 with 2 hands and such. Basically, you spammed the buttons in a way that you managed to hit them all at the same time, which is lucky and also great.

And yes, with all this annoyance, you get a Rosetta Stone for your actions. Being a perfectionist, I have to get this so my whole party has 4 passive abilities they can use.

Edit: I'm pretty sure the organ keys had nothing to do with the pictures on the wall. And Omega Weapon is not included with those 8 bosses that can unseal the abilities.

Yeah...the organ trick really has nothing to do with anything...unless you really want a Rosetta Stone.

This is just about the only thing in Ultimecia's castle that you can actually skip and not hinder your ability to fight her at the end.

yeah, all buttons at once opens the barred door, and it actually is easier to do than it sounds, use ur fingers for the main buttons, and press it against the floor for r1 r2 l1 l2 is my advice
