Of course I loved Squall! He's so far my fave male FF character.

He was the typical 17 year old. He was reluctant to play the hero, but got the job done nonetheless. For the most part his character development was good, although around the end it kind of jumped ahead.

I liked his character design. Instead of the overly muscled He-Man, he was a slender, lithe pretty boy.

I sympathized with him because he was pretty much forced to be a Commander even though he just wanted to be a mercenary and just fade to the background, and everyone pretty much gave him a hard time.

First they're like "Hey, we know you're commander, but go to Rinoa first!" and then it "We know Rinoa is important, but go be a commander first", I mean, what the hell?

No, not really. His character development was poor, and the Gunblade wasn't all that great. It's flashy, but I really prefer a normal sword.

His character design [Graphical Appearance] wasn't too horrible, but other than that, I really don't like him.

Though the opening of FFVIII is pretty smexy. <3

I really liked him at the beginning; but after a few hours of play, he gets really, really annoying with all his emo-thing.
 
I liked Squall he does what everyone does which is intense thinking about absolutely everything... You can tell the poor guy has alot on his mind :P
 
Squall is awesome. He's actually the only thing I like in the whole FF8. Meh, not my favourite game...
 
Squall was okay. There really wasn't good or bad about him. He was kinda hot when he sliced Seifer back! I'm really a Seifer guy, though.
 
Squall was my favourite character in ff8 beause the gun blade is probably a the best weapon ever
 
I never really got too far into the game so I never really knew much about the characters but from what I could tell, Squall was okay. Not the coolest, but whatev.
 
Squall I'm fairly neutral on. I was never really interested in the character or his story. Even if the overall plot and the other characters were interesting, I stopped playing due to how boring the lead was.
 
I'm pretty unsure on this one. I mean, at times he's cool and BA, and at other times I'm just annoyed by him. Kind of a love-hate relationship like Rinoa. The only characters I loved throughout that entire game were probably Zell and Selphie. :P

Even in fanfictions, I can't like him completely or hate him completely. Although, I did love him in the ending scenes. Hurraaay. :D
