A few days ago I started FF I anniversary edition for the psp. Great game btw, quickly becoming one of my favs. I am wondering if I messed up though. I have always had a black & white mage in my party. This time I didn't want to use them, so I only put one red mage in my party, the other three are warrior, thief & monk. I am finding out that its getting tougher to pick which spells I want, as I can only hold 3 total per level with my red mage. For those that have played this before, is this still doable or should I start over again?

You probably should have at least had a white mage in there.

If you're not that far in, jut restart, also, afew people have said theifs shite as well, I used him myself, but maybe swap him out for the for the WM?

If you arent struggling though, then I don't see no reason why you cant carry on as you are. You won't be able to get the highest level W/B magic though, thats reserved just for the specific classes

If I ever played it again, Id likely go for warrior monk red mage and white mage :hmmm:

I beat the game without a white mage...but you could have a red and black mage. Black mages seem to have access to way better magic...and it will help alot in the final battle.

I'm not so fond of the monk class but I know for myself that using warrior is useful, but keeping theif would be wise also because theives have access to black magic when they level high enough and you'll need the haste spell and I think berserk spell if you want to make future battles much easier.

But that's just my experience. I honestly haven't found the monk class all that useful...Good luck though. I think you can beat the game with those classes. You'll just be using more items which means it would probably be worth it for you to treasure hunt alot ^_^
