I noticed this the second time I played through, but I've never really asked anyone about it... But here it is.
When you are at Pinacle Rocks, in disc 2, where you play as Dagger, and you need to find the pieces of Rumah's story, and then put them togethor, if you actually read the pieces, its the story of Joseph, from Final Fantasy II.
It talks about how 3 rebels (Firion, Maria, Guy/Gus) met with Joseph in a town in the north. It mentions Josephs daughter, and then it talk about how the four crossed the snowy plains, went into the Ice Cave, found and defeated the Adamatoise, in order to recieve the Godesses Bell to infiltrate the empires fortress (and this is all exactly what happens in FFII).
Then it goes on to talk about how they met a traitor on their way out of the cave (his name is Borghen in FFII), and how Joseph gave his life for the group (which is what happens).
Did anyone else notice this?
