Deus Ex: Human Revolution producer David Anfossi has said that their upcoming choice-based first-person shooter will be the same experience on all three platforms and that they’re working on each platform simultaneously rather than porting it from one platform to another.

“The experience will be the same on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The same mechanics – everything is the same,” Anfossi told VG247 during E3 last month when he was asked whether the game was being led on PC. “For Deus Ex, we decided to work on all platforms in parallel to give players the same experience.”

Anfossi adds that he dislikes ports, himself.

“I used to work on previous games where we had lead platforms, and when we were close to the release date, we had to do a port. “And believe me, you don’t want to do that.”

Deus Ex: Human Revolution launches in early 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

I think that's kind of neat to know. I mean i'm not 100% on this but do most producers port? I mean i'm sure it saves time. But the fact that they're trying to make the expirence the same no matter which console is cool.

This game looks wickedly awesome I can't waiiiiiiiiiit :x3:

Yeah, anything that's multiplatform is generally ported which is why exclusives tend to be better in every possible way. Problem being, this tends to lead to one console title being superior over the same title on another console. Ie, your CoD's look better on Xbawx360 and your Final Fantasy XIII looks better on PS3.

Bit I agree, the game does look proper slick so I'm glad the PS3 version will be getting the attention it deserves. :ryan:
