Now here's a tough one. Which would you prefer to be in? The snow is too freakin' cold, while the desert is way too hot.

I don't know which I'd pick, to be honest...but probably leaning towards snow. I mean, sure I'd probably get frostbites, but that's better compared to being thirsty, experiencing mirages and suffering from the heat in the desert. =/ I think...

And at least the snow's kinda pretty to look at...

I'd pick the desert because I hate being cold. And you can always take things off if you get too hot. And if you run out of water, you just have to cut open a cactus.

And the desert does get cold at night anyways. :P

Crap, I accidentally voted for the snow, while I truly meant to vote for the desert. The desert is equipped to support the truly prepared traveler. Nothing survives in snow.

I love snow. And actually, Wulfe, lots of things can survive in snow. Polar Bears, Raindeer, moose, Snow Grouse, Arctic Hares, Arctic Turns, Penguins, Seals, Walrus....to name but a few.
Snow is gentle and pretty, it's also fun for sledging/skiing/snowboarding/making snowmen (and women) and just generally mucking about in.
If you dress up warm enough, my North Face gear is plenty warm, you can have hours of enjoyment.

In the desert on the other hand you face the more deadly animals that survive in harsh dry conditions, snakes, scorpions and some spiders adore the desert. Also you have to contend with heat stroke and dehydration and if you take too many clothes off, sunburn is always a factor.

Give me the snow over the desert anyday.

Once again, you've managed to crush my hopes and dreams LittleAngel, I hope you're happy. J/j, I do however, acknowledge the fact that many things can survive in the snow (due mostly to your overwhelming amount of evidence 0_0 ) However, I present to you one argument which should win you over to the dark side. Aladdin. Aladdin took place in the desert and everyone loves Al. Think about it, would it be the same in the snow? Disney don't make no films in the snow for the reason that kids and Disney think Desert beats snow, like rock beats scissors!

Warm regards,

Actually they made a film in 1958 called White Wilderness. The one where they created the myth that lemmings commit mass suicide.

Then there was One Magic Christmas in 1985......

Cool Runnings in 1993...thats about the four man bob if you forgot...set in SNOW

Snow Dogs in 2002.....

And then, of course, the Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe which was set in a world where it was always winter and never christmas.....

Game set and match I believe

Snow, you can survive a lot longer in the snow than you can in the desert.

In the Snow you can make an Igloo for shelter, build a fire for warmth, melt snow for water, or hunt if you need to.

The Desert would be really easy to die from heat exhaustion/dehydration, no food. etc...
