In general, the only reason people would want to kill another person is because they somehow conflict with their way of living, and a naively simple way of getting rid of them is to kill them. Of course, if I could kill someone without bearing any sort of consequences, that would be like defeating the purpose of doing a difficult math problem. And I like solving challenging math problems. Easy math problems are not satisfying.
(Now that doesn't mean I want to be able to find a more subtle way of killing someone and getting away with it; it just means I'd rather work around the problem of people conflicting with my way of living using means other than death.)
As for whether or not I believe people have the right to have control over others, I do not buy that idea. It does not suit my purposes, and has the same problem as the reason mentioned above; it turns difficult math problems into easy ones.
