Dark Yojimbo is giving me the hell of a trouble...
The worst is not him but the 5 times we've got to battle him
 
I don't like him.
He takes up all of my gil! =[
 
the first time you fight him is the hardest since he ambushes you
If you have high def stats then he should be easier
i thought this was one of the hardest parts in the game
 
I thought this particular Dark Aeons was one of the easiest. No status effects were really that troublesome, and if you had sense, you'd have got a Ribbon on your armour by this point in the game. He's a complete pushover. But I have to agree...fighting him 5 times was a bit of a tedious nightmare.

So much HP...

Dark Anima...now THERE'S a toughie.
 
Ugh, I wish the American version of this game would have added these enemies to face. Sure the Monster Arena was great, but I've heard some great challenging stories about the Dark Aeons.

I thought this particular Dark Aeons was one of the easiest. No status effects were really that troublesome, and if you had sense, you'd have got a Ribbon on your armour by this point in the game. He's a complete pushover. But I have to agree...fighting him 5 times was a bit of a tedious nightmare.

DARK ANIMA WAS EASY, beat her first time i tried, she is SO SLOW with TOO MUCH HP... *sigh* i tell you a hard dark aeon, Dark Magus Sisters, i still haven't betten them...

Dark Yojimbo is easy, just can't be bothered fighting him 5 times in a row... *sigh*
 
well for dark magus sisters you take out the flying one cause of her passado attack then you take out the sandy then the fat one

The only way Dark Anima could even start to be considered as "easy," is if your own Yojimbo comes in with Zanmato. She's not "so slow" at all. If you don't have certain 'proofs' on your armour, then she's bitched you over before the fight has even begun.

As for the Magus Sister, I'd hardly consider them to be more of a challenge than Anima was. Again, if you have the right abilities (like auto-phoenix), they're a much more managable...like with all the others.

What the hell are you talking about? Clearly you missed the fact that they attack singular characters in their turns. Heaps of damage or not, you once again missed something I said: Auto-phoenix. It overrides the turns of others, and an ally uses a phoenix down on the fallen party member. So the only way these could kill you is if you're foolish enough to not have a set of 'proofs' on your armour, and/or stay out when they use the Overdrive.

I suggest reviewing your supposed knowledge on these matters before posting about them.
 
All of the Dark Aeons are hard I've never beaten one but I heard that Spare Change works well.

well it does 99999 if you use enogh gil but if your str is 255 then attack would do the same
 
I am also having alot of trouble with dark yojimbo. My characters are basically maxed out and yet he still kills them very quickly and easily...

i guess i need a better tactic.

Not really. Spare Change will be capable of dealing that much against those with moderately high defense, whereas normal attacks won't ever attain max damage against those with equal def. to your character's str. value. The damage will still be pretty high though, just not 99,999.

Ensure that you have protection against the likes of Petrification and such, you'll find that he won't be too much trouble. Maxing your DEF will aid you greatly. Perhaps if you use the Entrust special and work with Rikku's Mix overdrive. You can perform various high-damage attacks multiple times, AND protect your party with damage-reducing spells.

Oh, and summon an Aeon when his Overdrives maxes out. (duh)
 
yes when i was fighing penance i had 255 str and i did 99999 damage
and plus if you use quick attack you can get more attacks in before your opponent so it is much better than spare change
 
If you have the "Quick Hit" ability learned, you can easily sneak in multiple attacks in between the Dark Aeons' attacks. That definitely cut down a lot of battle time for me with Nemesis when Tidus, Wakka, and Yuna weer all Quick Hitting with 255 strength.
