I'm up to the bit where you fight
Sephiroth
. This has to be the hardest battle in the game.

He has over 50k hp, then when he dies...
you have to fight him again, and im told he has 30k hp the 2nd time round
...

i cant beat it.

anyone else find this difficult?
 
I had some difficulty with him, but not nearly as much difficulty as I had with Genesis and his bastard copies that eat Zack's beautiful hair. >=[

Just keep a hot finger on Cura and use the dodge function when he's about to hit you. (If you don't have Cura, I strongly advise that you acquire it and master it. Same goes for HP up)

If possible, get behind him while he's getting draw slash ready. He lurves to spam the shit out of that move.
 
i've beat the first battle with him, but the 2nd one is proving really difficult.

i'll try again later on.

i saw a video on youtube where someone had Dark Thundaga and kept using that till he won
 
Leveling up never hurts anything except for in FFVIII when your enemies level up with you.

However, for FFVII just go to tough places like the Northern Crater, the Sunkin Submarine, or any other place that offers fairly good EXP for defeating enemies. (can't remember much, it's been a while)

It's not that hard of a game to level up in, I've got my characters up to level 90's and taken on the optional WEAPONS.
