Dagger Can't Summon

I'm not sure about this, but in Final Fantasy IX, after Dagger gets her first Eidolon in disk 2, shouldn't she be able to summon it in battle? I don't see it anywhere on the summon list. Os there something I have to equip first? I have no idea.

Eidolons are only able to be used by equipping the relevant stone, in this case the Peridot. However like all abilities, once learned they no longer require that specific item to be equipped.

Equip Dagger with the Peridot in the add-on slot, and you should be set.

And Eidolons are not only learned from stones. They can be from other items like the Pumice, Phoenix Pinion and Ribbon.
