Crisis Core US Release Date Finally Announced!

what isnt accurate about it? and how can we honestly talk about how its accurate or not when we dnt even no half of the stuff thats in it yet

I'm not even going to bother explaining it to you. If you don't know, go to youtube and watch the trailers. Or better yet, watch some subtitled gameplay. I've seen enough of them to know the game is far from accurate.

ive seen tons of the videos for it but the vids dnt show everything thats gonna happen in the game. and from what ive seen it looks pretty accurate so far.

There's plenty of gameplay and cutscene videos. There's even a sephy fight AND Genesis fight.

Anyway, I'd rather download it.

You must not have spent more than 5 seconds watching anything then. You can find plenty of vids with in-game cutscenes and even *ZOMG* read most of the story and plot of the game! It's been out for a good while in Japan now, plenty has been fan subbed. Gaia never had
any fucking goddess and corresponding idol in the life stream in VII
, there's no way for them to fit that into VII without even further bullshitting.

Truth. And I don't even want to download it. Before Crisis and Crisis Core have utterly destroyed VII, the story is even more of a mess now because the prequels don't follow canon.

Well, for one thing, I'm kinda annoyed that SE wasn't original about Genesis. They basically used Gackt's actual appearance. (Gackt- Jpop culture icon) It will be awkward when I'll playing Crisis Core. When I see Genesis I'll say to myself: "Oh god -_-, it's Gackt."
The whole goddess in the life stream and about Red XIII's wife....Really, wtf?
-_-

It seems to me that Square Enix have put some effort into Crisis Core. SE seemed to rush Dirge of Cerberus. I've haven't played it myself but most fans were disappointed in DoC. Final Fantasy X-2 was fun but it was nothing more than a magical girl anime, J-pop game that wasn't really necessary to the series. FF XII:RW doesn't seem that bad so far. I hope SE realizes what mistakes they have done in their past spin offs. Well see how Crisis core turns out to be.

What about Canada, Eh?
I WANNA CRISISESES COARREA SOOOB! SOOBB!!! D;<

I don wanna wait till dec '08! I wanna it when the Useees do! AAHHH!

I like Gackt as a singer, but I don't want him in my games. It's a pathetically obvious way to get more people to buy the game. And is it just me, or is the whole "ZOMG PUT ON ANGEL WING IT R COOL" design getting really old really fast?

Pointless comment much? You're not going to be missing anything anyway.

I think i kinda agree with the whole fact that SE is milking the whole FFVII thing, but seriously you know this for a fact and most people complaining about it are going to wind up buying it anyway so why discuss it with people obsessed over it.

Im so excited for this game =D=D=D. I have never reserved a game before anywhere but just for this game when ive got money from my job ill reserve it

Good grief people. All I do is simply post a thread to let people know that the US release date was finally announced for this game and I come back to so much negative response to it, it's pathetic. I never meant for this to turn into a "let's flame Crisis Core thread". It's merely a thread for discussing the release date. How about you guys stop ruining it for those people who are actually looking forward to it?

Nokoi, the PSP is region free. You can always have a US copy imported.

I'm complaining about it but I'm not buying it. Why would I buy a game I complained about? Although you're right, there are plenty of SE fans out there who still eat everything up regardless of whether it stays canon or not.

Haha, what'd you expect LA? But I've been good and I'm using spoiler tags! ^_^ And um...how are we supposed to keep a thread going on a release date anyway? o_O

"Yay! It's finally coming out!"

"OMGWTFBBQ I'm reserving it!"

"I think it's too soon, they should work on it moar."

"Yarly."

Oh and btw, I think I messed up in a previous post. I said that in Crisis Core SE makes up some BS story about how
Red marries, but as soon as they're married his wife goes off alone for "spiritual meditation" to conveniently explain her absence in VII.
But as I recall, that actually happened in Before Crisis. So my bad, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's the lamest idea evar.

Well if you're not going to buy it and you're complaining aobut it why are you even discussing it in the thread this much.

Anywho I've seen plenty of vidz on youtube and it seems to me that even though it contradicts some events in FFVII, it seems to be one of the more worth-while spin-offs of FFVII.....well any FF for that matter.

The fact that it contradicts the original story is bothersome. It makes me not want a remake of FFVII at all beause of the fear of them completely screwing up a very awesome and wonderful story as it were. I still want the mystery of things. I don't want to see the original story screwed up in anyway possible. After this, they just need to leave the story of FFVII alone. If they were to do anything else, just as I was discussing with Angelus last night, would be maybe learning something about Cloud's father, what happened to him, did he die when Cloud was young, how did he die, etc...that's about it.
Regardless though of Crisis Core not staying canon, I'm still very much looking forward to playing it. I'm looking forward to learning more backstory on Zack, for sure. He always intrigued me from the moment I first saw him in FFVII. I was always very curious to know about his life before he died. I'm also looking forward to learning more about Genesis, since that left me hanging in Dirge of Cerberus, and being the Cloud fangirl I am, I'm looking forward to just getting the Cloud eye candy, plus really delve into his friendship with Zack.

Don't worry, they'd change it

It looks like Kingdom Hearts to me, which isn't a bad thing since KH is fun to play. And I do have to admit, I was intrigued when I saw that you could actually
fight Bahamut.
As much as I'm against this new action RPG craze, it would be interesting to be able to
fight summons in real time (I'm disregarding XII).
So, even if it does fail completely in story, it looks like it'll at least prove to have good gameplay.

well they're continuing the compilation until ff7s twentieth anniversary (cant spell), so we're gonna b seeing more prequels, sequels, a remake possibly, ect. until 2017. it mite b awhile til the next one, but more r coming.

Oh joy

When did SE say that? I know that they plan to keep XIII going for a long time, but I haven't read anything about them keeping VII going till it's 20. Still though, it wouldn't surprise me.

its on wikipedia. the last line of the paragraph under creation and scope. the square enix president announced it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compilation_of_Final_Fantasy_VII

I checked its source. Valid. Hoofuckingray.

While Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation Portable was generally believed the be the final installment of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Wada thinks the Final Fantasy VII franchise will be alive for two decades, meaning ten more years.

Looks like LA will get her dreaded VII remake, it's only inevitable. I don't know what they'll do if it's stuff outside of the compilation though o_O More sequals after Dirge, maybe? I can only hope they at least put effort into making them good games, at least.

im tired of prequels so i hope the next one they do is either a sequel or a remake. and they've got ten more years to wrk on it, so i really dnt care if they spend all ten of those years on a remake if thats what it takes to make it good
