Community Service --- no, I'm not talking about what convicted felons do when they need to get out of parole or sentence or something.

It's the type of community service you do just out of the goodness of your heart, either that or the ones that help get you into college. :P
Anyone ever do this for school or scholarships of any sort?

I, for one am! I have about 250 hours total and going.

Haha yeah. We cleaned a whole neighborhood on this two or three street (It took about 300 or so people), cooked breakfast in school and the parents attended with their kids (that was fun!) reading program at the library, etc. I forgot the rest, but I didn't have that much hours.

Well, It's not really a community service (although, I did more than my fair share of it back in high school to get into a decent college) however, I do participate in monthly charities sponsored by my company. To date, I've donated shoes, clothes, canned foods, vast amounts of both, my precious time and money among other things. In addition, I try and participate in events such as the annual "AIDs walk" and "JP Morgan Chase" run through Central Park every chance I get. It helps those in need, helps to keep me in shape and is usually a lot of fun.

That's really nice of you Wullfe, I haven't donated anything in my life, to be honest =\, but that's only because I have nothing to donate XP

But seriously though, it is community service in some way because you are giving back to your community.
And yeah, it is fun as well. :)

Indeed. I know what you mean, my man. Now that I have a little bit of paper I try to give back to my community. It's only right, right? ;)

I'm glad you think so. It does make me feel better, and give me a sense of accomplishment.

We had to do some Freshman year, and that was it. I had to like mulch a park in October one Saturday morning and it took about...2 hours? That's the only required junk I really ever had to do, but in the summers I staff at camps for elementary kids and run basketball camps, so I guess that may count as well.
