Colonel Volgin vs. Tifa Lockheart

Snake never took Volgin to the floor easily...Volgin's first fight with Naked Snake ended with Snake getting the hell beaten out of him by Volgin who was doing so with ease.

Their actual fight in the Shagohod hangar ended midway with both men on their knees. The conclusion was Volgin on his face and Snake stumbling away, bent over in pain. Volgin proceeded to get up, cough up some blood and get in the Shagohod.
So, both he and Snake got up and ran away.

And I don't use game mechanics because it's absurd. (see the perpetual "why didn't they just use a Phoenix Down on Aeris?" argument) People in gameplay are shot all the time yet in cinematics bullets are a serious threat to their lives. This is true for both MGS and FF.

That is why I am not applying them, and I was referring to the scene where Volgin gets CQC'd to the floor (might have been the Boss, not Snake, can't remember)

But nonetheless, in close quarters Volgin would be at a disadvantage while at long range Tifa would have the disadvantage respectively.

So it can all vary on who manages to gain the advantage first.

It was Boss who kicked his ass with CQC. And really, we have no idea of how good at actual hand-to-hand combat he is, since the only people we see him beat up are Cruschev (sp?) who's in a drum, and Snake who's tied up.

But they do have one fight but judging off that he is a brawler so he is limited in fisticuffs when it comes to Tifa.

But if Volgin can get his electric fist attack working on Tifa that would probably have her on the floor considering the force behind it. So unless Tifa gets in close quickly it could probably be Volgin's win.

..Crushev?
You mean Nikita Krhushchev, head of the Soviet Union?
No, Volgin did not kill the head of the USSR in a metal drum. It was Granin, a fictional scientist and one of the first visionaries for the Metal Gear.

Also, when he fougth Snake the first time, Snake was not tied up. He was a big groggy from being dropped on the floor once or twice by The Boss but he had absolutely nothing else holding him back. Volgin just pulped him with easy punches.

Pardon me, I get the Russian names confused :neomon:

Either way, he's still not in actual pique condition.

Not like any of this matters anyway. It's all a silly little crossover idea.

Well seeing this thread and some other 'Someone vs. FF7 Character' thread, I got to a conclusion not to make this threads because most of the people will vote for FF7 characters.
You could show any Volgin's power but there will always be a member saying if Tifa equips that and that materia will make her invincible and defeat Volgin.

In the case of the member vs the admin, Tifa would pwnzors :P

+ I think that they're trying to keep materia out of this argument, Danijel ... or at least a few members were.
