Hey guys, you can call me MB, I just wanted to post on here because incase you dont know gamespot.com is having a video game best hero contest, they are taking heroes from all games and all generations and letting people vote to see whose best. The only Final Fantasy character in this competition is Cloud, and I want him to win to disprove those Halo and shooter junkies and show them a good ol' Final Fantasy character beats them all, but at the current rate he wont win. if you just go to http://www.gamespot.com/greatest-vid...log/index.html on the 8th-14th and vote for Cloud he will have a much better chance of winning with us all behind him, its not just for Cloud, its for all FF characters! Please vote :cloud:
 
What if people want to vote for the character they themselves think is 'best hero'?

Plus, he should win on his own merit :grin:

To be completely honest, I probably wouldn't vote for Cloud even if I could. It's a contest to see who the greatest game hero is, and Cloud just doesn't fit the bill IMO.
 
I dunno, I don't really like much of the 'heroes' they have up there.
Snake, Cloud, Leon Kennedy, Dante...Liu Kang lost, to Yoshi of all things!
No offense to Mario and the like, but I think in a real fight Liu would destroy Yoshi. Kirby's cute, but eh no. And Pac-Man, sure it's old school, but really? And Pikachu? Why is Pikachu a hero? Cloud would whoop Pikapikapikachu. I suppose it just seems kind of ridiculous to me anyway.

Completely agree with this post. It looks more like they're asking, "Who's the coolest Poster Boy from the most popular franchises?"

That being said, Cloud actually does look like the best on that list, especially if this is supposed to be a "fight" poll, so he has my vote.

Thank you! Exactly. Especially Kirby. What kind of hero is Kirby? Did he epically defeat monster man Sephiroth? No. His epic quest was rescuing a cheesecake. A cheesecake! Did Pikachu fight undead zombie hordes like Leon did? Did Yoshi battle people to their grisly deaths and kick ass like Liu Kang? I think not! Rise against! xD

Unless Kirby stole the powers of his enemies. :awesome:
Seeing as he seems to acquire the skills and strengths required to use the powers he copy's, he could potentially match any hero on the list.

Pikachu and Yoshi on the other hand... They're screwed.
