So, there was an underwater city right before Yuna had gotten kidnapped by the Al-bhed on the shoopuff. Wakka had said it was in use of forbidden Machina.

Anyone know what city that was? I don't remember him saying Atlantis. =/. Mind filling me in?

I do remember vaguely but I can't remember it ever having a name or anything......

I definitely don't remember. I wonder if google has anything...

Drat. I keep getting stuff about Moonflow...

Yeah, not sure.

wakka doesnt name it.
it just supports his theory that sin is a punishment

It doesn't have a name, it was just a way of showing why the people of Spira were so against technology, as well as another display of sins power.

It's not really important or relevant, so there is no need for it to have a name, I like to think that the name has been forgotten over time.

Well, that's lame that there is no name present for this place at all. =/.

Why does there need to be a name?

Wakka said that it was ancient city built over water and asked what Tidus's guess was as to why.

Tidus guessed because it was a close source of water (likely the reason), then Wakka replied with his usual rhetoric that they were simply trying to defy nature and the city collapsed as a result of that.

IMO, mysterious cities/ruins are much more mysterious when there's anonymity to them.

Speaking of underwater cities, at the beginning when Tidus meets Rikku and goes underwater with her, doesn't she say that that underwater city is Zanarkand? Which is strange because at the end of the game Zanarkand doesn't look underwater to me....

Nope. Actually, for the hell of it, I kept pausing the game to type everything the Al Bhed said into a translator. That sunken city is where they found the airship.

Urmm...pretty sure that was mentioned sometime during the game that the underwater place was where the airship was.

if im right [Hayate], your talking about the city underneath the Moonflow housed the airship? if so, that's not the case. the airship was found way out at sea in proximity to Besaid island, where as moonflow is further north which housed the city on a bridge that subsequently collapsed.

The Airship was definitely found in the underwater ruins at the beginning of the game because at some point the screen pans out and you see the Airship, though you do need to looks closely as its covered in moss n' shizzle. I've also went back through the game with all the Primers from my previous play through to translate anything the Al-Bhed say and they do mention it was found there.

As for the underwater ruins at the Moonflow the name was never mentioned.

zanarkands a pretty big place, it could be a seperate part of zanarkand. If you find that place in the ship I think (I haven't played in ages so I may be wrong), that it is titled with zanarkand in it.
