Multiple Platforms Chrono cross/trigger

I seen that there is no forum section for chrono cross/trigger. It would fall in this category but i would think it would have its own like Kingdom Hearts. Chrono talk, im assuming, might get ugly due to all that time travel talk lol so dont blame ya..

Yeah I agree I. Although I haven't played Chrono Cross, I've been playing Chrono Trigger for years and I think it deserves it's own category on here for sure.

I totally agree with you guys. CT and CC are just incredible games with outstanding reviews! (CC has a 10 in Gamespot for example....and there's really few games in GS that have a perfect score) I think something like that deserves its own section!

Yep and let's just go into detail why we love the heck out of these games...

Let's say the Techs that everyone has in Chronotrigger and ChronoCross are just awesome.

These were the first two RPGs I was able to Combo or do a tripple attack with all 3 characters on the screen. I liked the story line of ChronoCross a bit more than I did Chronotrigger, only due to the FMVs. The chronotrigger was awesome by itself though. The games never really got old, but I would agree .. they need their own category.

That really sucks! Out of the two games, I think Chrono Cross was the better one due to the plot, the graphics and the hundreds of characters you can get for your party! And the plot! (I know I said that twice) Seriously, I loved it. One of the best plots (if not the best one) I have ever seen in a game. I'm surprised SE thought about something like that!

Chrono Trigger is one of my absolute fave games, and while I had hoped to play FF3 in the FF Chronicles package, I'm not sorry to have gotten the opportunity to play this awesome 2D game.

Chrono Cross, however, didn't appeal very much to me; I've only played it once and I can't bring myself to play it again :/

Wait, which ending of CT? I loved teh Balloon ending, myself (& call it canon)...the non-canon CC ending is one of the worst endings anywhere...but w/e...also, it looks like you're saying the CC soundtrack is lame!

Chrono Trigger & Cross are both wonderful games. I love the character development of Trigger, as well as how amazingly they took a shitty plot and made it appealing and original.

Chrono Cross, however, didn't appeal very much to me; I've only played it once and I can't bring myself to play it again :/

I understand what you're saying- at first I couldn't stand playing Chrono Cross because of the strange battle system and out of the ordinary Dream Sequence that it started with. I started with that mermaid girl my first time through and wondered, "Who the fuck is this broad?" So, I stopped playing it for a while and picked it up a good two or three years later. Once I got used to the battle system, the game became very quickly paced, though-provoking and the graphics still are good, and then were great. Easily one of the best RPG's of all time.

And to get a conversation going, out of either game, favorite character(s)?

Magus, of course. He's simple badassery & one of the most fleshed out characters in the whole series. Great theme too.

The only well-developed characters in CC were Kid & Harle (& Harle's kinda pushin it)...but I love them both as well, so it all works out, I guess...

Chrono Trigger is definitely one of my favorite games ever. I just love it, I love all the characters, the story, everything.

I've never played Cross, though, apparently it's good?

i like cross and trigger but in terms of reallly getting into the characters and knowing them i kinda like cross better. There is more characters and some of them are pretty coooool. like starky OMG fav alien, mojo is kinda neat but not so great in battle and grobyc, what a badass.

Skelly was easily one of my favorites, and his story was so sad. He's lying to his grandmother! She thinks he was happy and all that bullshit. Psshaw.
Harle was an awesome character, too. I liked how detailed she was. Mojo was a lot of fun, and I liked Doc a lot.

Did anyone feel sorry for Harle? She liked Serge alot and even at one point cryed on Fargos ship next to Starky. And she tries to explain to Starky about her tears.

Love both games. Except I can't remember anything about Chrono Cross other than how weird and somewhat confusing it was. Chrono Trigger, though, was the first SNES game I ever played, so I look back on it fondly. But I can't remember if I ever beat it or not...
