Help Chocobo Hot and cold

I'm getting really hacked off with this side quest, i am currently on Disk 3 of the game, before enterring Terra, and i am attempting to get through this side quest now as to avoid doing it later, but i have 2 problems.

number 1. I can't seem to reach the chocobo Lagoon, i have the blue chocobo and mene has marked it on my map, i just can't seem to reach it through the shallow ocean, is there a set of chocobo footprints on the Island it's on so you can reach it or do you have to land on one of the outlying islands and reach it via Ocean.

and 2, i only seem to find items that i have plenty of in my inventory such as softs and gysahl Greens, is there some way to find the Items that you have to dig up quickly or do i just have to suffer through and persevere?

To reach the lagoon, you have to land on one of the outlying islands south of the mist continent. Then you run from the island through the shallows to get to the lagoon.

As far as digging up the items, it's annoying but it gets easier has his beak levels up. So you kind of just have to suffer through and persevere there. :dave:

I am guessing that you haven't been to the second location at all then? Because you probbaly have dug up about as much as you can find in the forest before you reach the next stage with a red chocobo. I think the only way to get there was to fly/sail to one of the islands close by and like..island jump and eventually you could enter. I can't remember exactly, but I think you stop on one of the islands near to the entrance but you have to take the long way round to get to it.

You will probably find a million chocopieces and what not there too. Then head back to the forest for the rest when you evolve or whatever =D
