Characters you'd like to be in Dissidia FF

my only critisim with your list celes is locke rather than celes or shadow? :P

i find that celes and shadow are much more interesting character wise and much stronger combat wise, id love to see how runic could be implemented as some kind of reflex trigger counter attack against certain magic attacks.

also shadow would rock with the whole throw ability, he could throw lots of different stuff, and interceptor would be a great additional cool factor to him :D
 
Hahaha! Considering what my user-name is, and that she is my favorite Final Fantasy character, you'd think I'd remember to mention her. I'm a moron. :)

But I definitely agree with you. I don't think they should limit it to just Terra, whose personality is just plain boring. :( It's cool that she can transform and everything, but I absolutely agree that Celes is by far more interesting without the snazzy transformo powers. ;D Like you said, I'd also love to see the power of Runic being used. x]
 
I could've sworn I posted in this thread earlier... but I don't see it. Weird.

Anyways, I was hoping for possible unlockable character skins for alternate costumes for the confirmed mains. Eg. Maybe Kain skin for Cecil, Zack skin for Cloud, Seifer skin for Squall, Shuyin skin for Tidus, Auron for Jecht (?) and others I may not have mentioned/are less obvious. I'm disappointed the FF8 villain was Ultimecia to be honest. I found Edea and Seifer much more interesting, even though they weren't the actual villains.

Other than that I'd like a martial artist like Tifa or Zell to appear (preferably Tifa), a ninja like Edge maybe, a gun wielder (Irvine... or FFX2 Yuna?) and a lancer (Kain, Freya, Cid Highwind). I just feel it would add variety to the lineup, as they all seem to be some sort of swordsman save for a few magic users.

For characters I just WANT to appear because I simply like them, I go with Tifa, Vivi, Rydia, Celes, Zack, Balthier, Aeris, Yuna, Kain... There are way too many to be included actually. It'd be pretty epic if there was a game that included all the main characters in some form :(
 
following a bit of heated msn debate between myself and celes we came up with which definate hidden characters we would like to see :P

FF5: Villian: Gilgamesh Hero: Galuf
FF6: Villian: Ultros Hero: Celes
FF7: Villian: Tseng Hero: Tifa
FF8: Villian: Seifer Hero: Quistis
FF9: Villian: Black Waltz no 3 Hero: Vivi

even got a few ideas during our discussion about potential ex-forms and bursts for them :P

Celes: Ragnarok equiped....Drains all magic attacks (except summons) automatically by using runic and unleashes it in a mighty flare attack

Tifa: Switches to black clothing? The beat rush - final heaven combo...self explanitory :P

Black Waltz: The other 2 black waltzes show up to assist him, they fire a massive triad bolt attack at there enemy :P

Vivi: steiner runs in to assist master vivi, Working together they beat down the enemy using the combined sword magic arts!

Gilgamesh: Pulls out his legendary swords (not his normal ones :P) severally rampages through the enemy using multiple sword attacks finishing off with a climatic quad blade beam attack!

Ultros: change form (starts glowing) ultros sneezes at his enemy disabling them while he smacks them about the screen with his tenticles finishing off with a large ink shot that entirely covers them :P
 
Vincent needs some showtime. Cloud sucks in comparison to Vincent and heck cloud had to share most of his time Vincent hasn't.
 
I only really played from FFV and onwards so...

FFV: I'd love Faris to be in it. Kick-ass pirate chick ftw ^^

FFVI: Celes. Pretty much Terra's counterpart I think. Locke because he seems rather iconic in FFVI, and Edgar 'cause he's a mechanic type of character with all his tools and such ^^

FFVII: RedXIII as mentioned because he's a beast, and Vincent because his Chaos mode would be hard to beat I think. And Zack 'cause he's just friggin' awesome ♥

FFVIII: Omg, Seifer! I would LOVE if he was in this game O.O

FFIX: As mentioned, Vivi 'cause he's the embodiment of the iconic black mage with the glowing eyes on a dark face and pointed hat.

FFX: Auron would be good I think. Cool mature guy that he is, he'll be hard to beat 'cause he's got a ton of defense I bet >_>

Thats a pretty good list, including some characters I'd love to have in it. I'm not too sure about Tseng though. He's an ace character in all, but I think theres more FF characters more deserving than him. More villains who are more villain'ish. Hojo for example, or Don Corneo. While I guess these guys aren't exactly fighters at least Hojo could be used as such (with the giant jenova-mutated green form of him as his Ex-Mode).

Galuf I'd like to see, but....

Faris would be A LOT better than Galuf. Not only will it give the game another female hero but it will also give the game a pirate, which would be fantastic. If they were to add her in, I'd like to group her up with Hydra/ Syldra as her summon (which a few months ago was confirmed as a summon, but now is questioned I think).

lol. It's Dyne. Thats assuming you mean Barrett's old friend, and father of Marlene who also has a gun-arm and who turned insane after the destruction of Corel.

They'd be interesting characters to play, but somehow I find them really unlikely. Barrett would have more of a chance but I think Dyne is a longshot. Would be great, but I doubt they'd consider it.

Am I the only one who thinks they saw Tifa hanging from an airship in one of the trailers? :confused: I know that sounds a bit far fetched, but I could've sworn I saw her! If you want to know what video it is, I think it's the one that was shown at some Japanese thing on the official website.

Don't think I'm trying to spread a rumor around, I just thought I saw her. :wacky:

U mean the trailer that is up on the website now? The TGS 2008 trailer? If so at what point do you think you see her? I can't remember an airship in that either, so if something is in there, it's in the background.

Cloud, Squall, Sephiroth and Zidane are all in the game already. But yeah they would be good to play.

Artemisa... Do you mean Ultimecia as she is known in the english translations? I'm looking forward to her too. I can't wait to see what sort of time powers she has.

Here is the link to the video. I saw it at about 4:02-4:03. Or maybe that's not an airship, but whoever it is is hanging off of something.
 
i really dont favor zidane's voice in Japanese
i think in english his voice should be Edward elric from FMA
and th japanese version too =]
but i like tidus he seems more badass than in FFX

Ah I see what you mean. I'm pretty sure that that is Bartz hanging on for dear life and trying to avoid being sucked into Ex-Deaths void, or something like that. Then again, the next character shown is Golbez, but that doesn't mean that it is him doing that to Bartz, and I'm assuming by his holding on for dear life to avoid being sucked into something that it has something to do with Ex-Death.
He is hanging on to a sword which is possibly stabbed into the rock to hold on to.

I don't like quite a few of the japanese voice overs. Kefka is a little bit overdone for my liking. He is crazy etc, but his voice sounds more like he is in pain with squeals straight from his throat... And I agree that Zidane sounds off. He is far too young sounding (I think its a girl that does his voice)... I hadn't ever imagined him as a child, and I was pretty sure he was in at least his late teens. Perhaps his and Tidus' voice should be swapped?:confused:

But that is just japanese voice overs for you (often very crazy), they will change if they ever get round to the english tranlastions to something we may find more agreeable to how we see the characters.

I'd have to agree. Holy bajebus! You'd think they would tone down his voice a little bit. If his voice sounds like that in the English version, he has the possibility of deafening me.

Terra, on the other hand, sounds like she's going to have a heart attack after Kefka's squealing fest.
 
Try to keep on topic please, a discussion is fine but remember it is asking what characters you would like to see in Dissidia, not what you think of the voice acting, thankyou
 
I would NOT like to see Cloud and Sephiroth. Too bad Squeenix already ruined that.
