Can you get both in disc 3, or do you have to go to the waterfall cave in disc 2 aswell?

I can't remember for the life of me wether or not you cna just do it all in disc 3, which is the disc i'm on now.
 
IDRK and after that chocobo inicident Im hesitant to give you advice mate but I think all you have to do is visit the cave after different points in the gamenot certain points, but just after events, like you can start the sidequest when ver but it oinly mobves along wjen you finish story aspects?

I could be wrong and its been so long since I did I would not be surprised:lew:
 
You HAVE to visit during Disk 2 and 3. When you first visit you will get some Dirge of Cerberus dialog. Go back to on Disk 3 and you can pick up the items in the shinny light. Its also nice to note Vincent has to be in the party.
 
Well you can go to the cave on the second disc and third disc like you said but I think that if you only go to the cave on the 3rd disc after the first cutscene you are outside the cave, fight ten battles and go back into the cave you should then see the second cutscene and be given the weapon and limit break not sure about it though thats how I always done it cause I never went to the cave on the second disc but I still managed to get the items on the on the third disc.

There is no harm in trying my way as you are already on the third disc I think you have to fight ten or more battles not sure if you have to win them or if you can flee them but give it a shot.

Ahh rightio, awesome. I'll give that a try then. I havent been bothered to get the green chocobo yet which i normally use to go there (eventhough you can use the sub) and i really didn't want to find out i've missed my only chance at getting an item. I've already missed getting the Elemental materia which sucked, getting Vincents final's wuld jus make me wanna reset my game >.>
