when you play the card game in final fantasy VIII when you win, you get to choose cards, do you choose the ones with the highest nuber or the picture of the monster. how do you know which ones to acquire?
thanks

Whatever the highest numbers are on the card, select those. Also if its blue, its a card that you don't have, so you might wanna get that one.

I do what Moony does, I'l either go with a card I don't have, a card I need to refine, or for the numbers, but you generally get a decent set of G's early on anyway so I dont tend to pick for numbers, my priority will be picking cards I know I will need to refine later, (Elnoyes grr) and then jus trcards I dont have to I can complete my collection
I think Il move this over to the help booth for you..

Card names in blue are ones you don't have. Yellow are ones you've had. white are ones you have in possion.

As for me, I try to get cards I don't have. If I have no choice since I have all the cards I pick those I can refine and numbers. Mostly since I can easily get level 8 9 & 10 cards will fast I'll pick cards I can refine first.

For me, at least, rule number one when it comes to selecting the cards you take is to always go for the ones with blue names, which means you don't have that in your collection yet. Also, if I'm looking for a specific card(s) I'll scoop those up.

The thing is, if you're going to pursue Triple Triad for long enough, you'll just end up picking all the cards you need anyways and you won't need to really worry about strategy in card selection. I mean, it's not like you use cards below level 8-9 once you pick THOSE up anyways. -_-

Depends on what you want the cards for: 1.) To complete the collection-try to get all the blue cards 2.) Refining- If you already have some copies of the card or you need a certain card to get some items, go for the yellow and white ones 3.) If you want em so you can win the card battles easier, go for the ones with the highest numbers, 1-9 and A, and A is like your ace in the hole as long as you use it right.
