In my personal opinion I feel that blitzball is definately the best mini game in FF history. It took me a while to decide but I feel that it definately beats all others. FFVII's chocobo racing got really close though

what do you all think? if not blitzball then what?

i'm not gooing to say it was the best, but it was the most in depth weith the most to it, i LOVED the chocobo mini game from VIII where you could plug in a game boy or w/e, and i also loved chocobo hot and cold from IX, both in the forest, and on the map.

those were cool but I didn't feel that they were as appealing. Thouhg I might be a little bias, I developed such an affinity for blitzball when I played it for about 6 days straight trying to get wakka's celestial weapons. I got real good at it but I liked that I continued to play it after i reached all the goals that I needed to reach

I'd say Blitzball was the second best... The best being Triple Triad from FFVIII.

Either way, both mini games deserve their own title on the DS or PSP. Preferably TT for DS and BB for PSP.

maybe final fantasy should have more sidequests involving a kind of sport.
football/soccer maybe^_^ that wud be ace

A final fantasy footy game? hmm scary.

imagine this team

-------------------------Bahamut(just stand in front of goal, block everything xD)

------Vivi-----------Steiner-------Freya------------Squall
-----Zidane----------Auron------Wakka-----------Zell
----------------------Cloud----Ifrit

I spent much more time in Blitzball than I did any other mini game. I agree that it is the best mini game in the FF series.

It's probably one of my favorites since I'm a sports' whore, but it can be argued either way. I like it at first and the challenge of getting all the overdrives for Wakka and his Jupiter Sigil, but after you get all of that, it's kinda pointless.

To be truthful, I hated blitzball. It just didn't feel like a normal FF mini game to me. Maybe I'm old school, but getting away from cards and stuff like that just felt wierd and too 'new age' I guess.

Meh.

3 words: Blitzball was amazing!!! its by far the best mini game ever :D it so should get its own console game

Tis much better on FFX than FFX-2, if it was to get it's own game, with a lot more characters, some more teams, and instead of going straight to signing the best players, a team reputation system, youth scouting etc.

Yeah, Blitzball was made so well it really could have it's own game - it could be a single player game with a whole lot of leagues etc or a online multi player game where every team and person in the team is controlled by an individual.
