So it was my understanding that the English release of BBS was the final mix version. Yet i've heard that with this new Dissidia 2 stuff (something about a Cloud costume) that this version was not in fact the final mix version, any truth to this or is it just the fact that it's only the Japanese version?

If so, what differences are there?

I don't see why we can't get any of the final mixes, it seems rather stupid that we can't get the extra stuff that they get, it's like FFXII IZJS or X-2 Last mission.
Why not just have it like that in the first place?
 
Trust me, I've been pining for so much of what Japan gets in terms of Kingdom Hearts and other KH games Dx

Hell, I even covet some of Europe's goodies T.T

I know that the English version of BbS was generally made to be harder and included an extra boss (or 2?). What the Japanese version could include in a potential re-release beyond that, I'm not sure :hmmm:

I'd just want to know if they did make a Final mix and it had new stuff in it, why can't we have one for a change?

I know it's only a few bosses/areas and stuff normally, but that's not the point. Why don't we get the same products as they get?
 
A quick check to clarify tells me that their Final Mix of the game includes the content that we should have (e.g. English audio), plus a few more new things such as a new episode and codes for certain downloadable stuff (namely costumes) for Dissidia 012. So you're right, we're not getting it.

I know, it is ridiculous that we don't get everything. As for the reason, I'm not entirely sure. I just see them as being evil bastards most of the time. :lew:

I don't see the point, when you release a game get it right FIRST time. It's just horrible money grabbing if you do that, since if any of us want it we'd have to get a compatible console and then a whole new copy of the game for what, a few extras?

Anyway, even though my query has been answered this thread could probably still be used for general Final mix discussion. :hmmm:

So anybody lucky enough to have it or possibly getting it?
 
Here is the Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix trailer for those of you who haven't seen it yet.


Square Enix mention that there will be a new character appearing in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix as well as a new Boss and a new Special Episode. Also a Arena mode for a mission "To the Dark Distant View" has been added. Those who purchase Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix will receive a code to download a alternative custom for Cloud in Dissidia Duodecim 012 Final Fantasy which is his Kingdom Hearts I custom.

honestly that kind of suks but i really don't care much since i remember reading final mix only actually getting a few changes like that new character they could actually be talking about mysterious figure since you can't actually fight him in the japanese version of the game and he is counted as a character since once you defeat him they give you his character file plus they are able to get the void gear from vanitas remnant which in the japanese version you only receive a secret gem which just suks eveen more for them so all they really are getting different than the english version is that special episode which i am really hoping it isn't one where you play as mickey cause then that is just an epic burn
 
I'm nonplussed, truth be told. Kingdom Hearts is the only mainstream RPG I know of where games that are little more than expansion packs are sold and accepted, all for the sake of about an hour's worth of gameplay. It's a cashgrab that I definitely don't agree with.
I definitely won't be getting it, even if it's the only final mix to hit the West. It's just not worth the money, in my humble opinion. I'd even go so far as to boycott the Final Mixes to make a point, better gameplay be damned.
 
In my opinion, this final mix thing is such a buttwipe move. Seriously, aren't you supposed to finish the game before selling it? And why, for the love of god would you only sell it in Japan? There are plenty of fanboys/girls over here willing to get this game. Cash in hand.

I'm getting tired of hearing about final mixes. Work on another game that isn't complete!
 
Japan gets a final mix everytime because they know the fans there will buy the games again. Even though the games sell better here, which makes no sense to me at all. At first i wanted to get the final mix but i could do without it, the only final mix worth noting is KH2 and that has way more content than the other games all together anyway.
 
honestly I was willing to have bought the KH2 final mix cause that was well over about half an hours worth of extra gameplay but i think the thing they should have done for birth by sleep since it can go online is put it on the playstation network as downloadable content and place them in paks and make it like eraqus remnant $5.95 psn and fighting inside monstro and fighting monstro himself probably like $10 psn

but of course they won't they will just make you buy the whole game again just to gain some more money I mean how much to you need haven't they earned enough from the sales of the normal games I mean i think BBS was the highest pre ordered game out of the series and i think on PSP not too sure but thats a lot of money and most of them payed the extra $20 just for the crappy collecters edition and they have the final fantasy series which just sells because of the name final fantasy on the cover no one checks any gameplay or reviews just buys it cause of the name and expects it to be good which it usually is so i want to know where all the money is going if it was going to KH3 then that better be the greatest game ever made cause otherwise they are spending it on crap that isn't needed
 
Final Mix only includes a little additional features from the original BBS. I don't think SE shoudl rmake it. I mean, finishing BBS, melding commands, etc is pretty hard, I don't think more of the 50% fans want to replay it.

Besides, SE should remake FF VII instead of BBS!
