The storyline

No more random battles. That is one thing I defintely don't miss.

The battle system.

Balthier - Hey he is the coolest character in the game by far.

Dislikes:

Vaan - Too emo and whiney.

Shitass camera angles

Lack of good sidequests/minigames - name me one good one that doesn't involve combat, at least FF9 had Chocobo Hot and Cold, FF7 - Gold Saucer, FFX - Blitzball, etc

Quickenings - Gimme the old fashioned Limit Breaks or Overdrives from FF7 and FFX over this Quickening crap anytime.

Penelo - She is just annoying imo and doesn't contribute anything to the main storylike after Lhusu. Plus for an FF chick she totally also fails at being eye candy too.

Useless espers

Annoying hard to get ultimate weapons and armour like Zodiac Spear, Grand Armour, Ribbon, Danjuro, Grand Helm, Tournesol, etc.

The fact that most magic outside of the Black and White spells is useless - only Slow, Blind, Lure, Decoy and Haste are the useful ones outside the Black and White magic in my view.

Apart from Steal, Libra, Charge and Telekenisis - all the other Techniks blow.

Some hard to spawn monsters. In particular the stupid Elementals, Entites, Humanoids and one or two rare game/trophy monsters like Larvae Eater are a real pain in the butt to get for the Bestiary.

Random chests

Frustrating drop/steal rate of some items from monsters. - This coupled along with the random chests justs pisses me off.

The Great Crystal - lamest dungeon ever in any FF game imo.

Penelo. When she has a spear out, she's hunched over like a barbarian.

Deadly Nightshade when they are 1-hit Ko-ed. There's something satisfying about watching a tomato with arms and legs fly through the air and get its head stuck in the ground.

Larsa, the second time he joins the party. Unlimited Hi-Potions? Yeah! Plus, he's got a badass knife on his back. If only he could use that instead of his wimpy sword...

Nihopalaoas with Phoenix Down or a Remedy. Instant death and status bombs are awesome!

Kicking Fafnir's scaly ass with reflected Thundagas.

Using the Scorpion Tail to send Worgen flying.

Hates:
The Undying. What a wimp, not showing his health.

Maces. Useless set of weapons.

Trying to kill Gilgamesh and his stupid wolf. (Actually, just getting to him the second time is enough.)

Hell Wyrm. Faith and Holy just aren't enough.

Larsa when you're battling Vayne. Didn't this kid level up?

The battle system

The random battles where you can't choose if you wanna run or not before after the battle started.

The music

These villages/cities: Eruyt, Nalbina, Archadies

Dislikes:

Vaan. -He's just the same as every other main male ff character. like Tidus and Sora -_-

Penelo -Why is she in this story as one of the main characters??

The fishing minigame

These aereas: Both of the sandseas, Raithwalls tomb, garamsythe waterway, The nechrol of nabudis, the Deadlands and the pharos at ridorana.

It is too hard to get powerfull equipment.

The raregames don't even intrest me, unless there's a steal/drop I want

These villages/cities: Rabanastre, Jahara, Mt. Bur-omisace (spelling?)

I have mixed feelings about the storyline. I like some of it.
But I think it's sad that there's almost no focus on the Rozzarian Empire..
 
Best part of this game...Hunts!

Loved all of them; from the easiest to the hardest last few.

Gilgamesh, Ixion, Yiazmat, etc... I think as you build up towards the harder ones you start to get more excited to find out who you are facing next and where they will end up and what you will get in return for defeating them. I actually looked forward more to this part of the game than actually completing the story at times.
 
I really hate how large all the areas are. Im there so long, that I forget where Im up to in the story

I enjoy doing the hunts though - dont enjoy some of the ways you have to make them appear though -__- Waiting for the weather to be just right realllly tries my patience

I hate treasure chests and my poor luck. Knot of rust anyone? :gasp:

I hate the great crystal and the pharos. They can fuck off and die

I love Balthier & Dr Cid though <3

Dr Cid would have made a FAR better final villainy person than Vayne ever does. He shudda killed Vayne like VAyne did his dad
 
Balthier was probably my favorite character overall in FFXII. At first I was certain when I started the game that Basch wold be my fave char, but after getting through to Phon Coast and Balthier starts to tell of who he really is and what he did in the past, I couldn't help but view him as the most interesting of the party members.
