i'm a graphics whore so this game is hard to beat, I haven't gotten far in it but I love the idea of dark knight to paladin and the simple fact that their are Dragoons in the game. The battle system is also great, can't wait till it comes out on the DS with new graphics.
FFIV was the first one that really grabbed me, far more so than FFI. The news that it's coming out on DS is great, although I wish they'd do a double-port of III and IV onto PS2, but I highly doubt that'll happen. So, this'll probably be the thing that'll make me fork out for a DS, no matter how much I loathe portable gaming.
Final Fantasy IV was the very first FF game I played at a young age, so I was really confused with what was going on to begin with but I loved the battle system of the game and I really liked the charecter Cecil and the idea's of summonings. When I replayed the game when I was older it got me back into the FF series and I was hooked to the story and the background of Kain(I think that's his name).
If I'd put it in order then it would be FFVIII, FFIX, FFIV.
This was my first FF game actually and the game that really got me into RPG's. I love the story and gameplay. I don't mind the graphics at all so I'm fine playing the SNES or the PS version. It's my second favorite FF game, after IX.
where is the significance in you listing those games?
anyway, this game was good, i honestly liked the way they did the graphics for this and FFV. i prefer it to FFVI and im not quite sure why. i also like the way cecil starts out as an evil dark knight and then gets a makeoverand becomes a holy paladin. good game, good story...great beyond its years.
I never completed this game but from what I did play, I thought it was quite a wonderful game. I know the graphics aren't great but it's from many years ago so there's an obvious reason as to why. Graphics aren't always my main concern, the storyline is usually more important to me and I think this game has a very nice storyline along with a great cast of characters. The soundtrack is very nice as well. I hope I can get to finish it one day!
Defintely not my favorite compared to FFX, FFIX, and FFV for me, but it's good. Graphics, story, characters, etc, all good. Not quite as good as teh previous 3 I mentioned, but it's worthy of discussion since it's an FF game, right?
This is the first FF game I ever played, and man, what a way to get into the series. I instantly became hooked on Final Fantasy games because of FFIV. I loved the characters, the setting, the battle system...it was all awesome. I'm really glad they released it onto GBA, because I'm not sure I would have ever gotten the chance to play it in the first place if they hadn't.
FFIV was the first FF i played and although i didn't like it at first, it grew on me to become my favourite (despite some recent competition from FFXII). It's definitely the best FF to date, and will probably remain the best.
This was the 2nd Final Fantasy I played way back when it was first released and for some reason it's stuck with me. I did replay it recently and was surprised that I still enjoyed it. I'm not sure if I like it because it's nostalgic or if it's really just that good of a game.
