Being used by so-called friends

Okay, Ive known the same 3 girls since September and we were getting on great. Now since we went back to university, they have been avoiding me. I use to go round to their house every day after university and we hung out all the time.

But now Ive not been round to their since the end of Jan. Since then, theyve socialised with their neighbours and they always them round their house. Oh and did I mention that these neighbours are 6 men? So Ive been replaced by 6 men!

One girl whom I was close to started dating one of them and always came to me if there was a problem or she had to have a moan about him. And me being the nice person that I am, I always rushed to her aid. Over the last week, they split up and Ive only just been told.

Whenever I try to hang out with them after university, they always make excuses. Heck, they arranged pancake day in front of me and inviting their neighbours and their neighbours friends. And me ... no invite whatsoever.

Now your probably thinking grow the hell up! Sadly they are the only people I know in the city. Its not the safest or the friendlyess, so having friends in a city you dont know is great. But Ive been very down because of it lately. My boyfriend and family try their best to cheer me up, but their back in my hometown.

I dont know what to do. I see them in lectures at uni, but no longer outside of uni. My boyfriend says to talk to them and invite myself round, but Im not that sort of person. Id rather be invited.

Sounds like your girl friends are more interested in go out with guys than with their old friend, well I guess that they are in “that age”, IMO you should listen to your boyfriend’s advice talk with them, organize a study group or meeting or something and invite them, maybe you can convince those girls to have some sort of girl’s party or something.<o:p></o:p>

How about if you try to become friend with those 6 guys, and get to your girl friends through them somehow, you are in the university, you are an adult I’m sure you can figure something out.<o:p></o:p>

Oh and if you are feeling down or depress start playing some video games, action ones really help me to forget about my problems when I’m feeling down, an a positive attitude always helps.<o:p></o:p>
 
I say move on with your life and make new friends. Real friends will always keep in touch and if not, will holla at you when they see you.

But yea, your boyfriend's advice is also good. Though it sounds like they are too cool for your or something. Also, how long have you really known them for? Less than a year? A year or more than a year.
 
University is a big place, why not pop into the student union and try and meet some new people, Join a few clubs. These girls sound like they arent worth the hassle to be honest. They are what I would call fairweather friends, they are friends with you for as long as they want then move on.

I wish you luck making some more friends who dont seem as selfish as these ones appear :D.
 
Well if they're being blatantly unfirendly right in your face, then they aren't fit to be called your friends really. I'd recommend moving on from them and trying to find some new friends. As said above, join some clubs and you'll easily make some good friends quick enough
 
Thanks for that advice. I noticed a poster the other day for an anime club and Im going to look into joining it! Ive known them since September and I dont know what you mean by "they are too cool for me." Im not cool enough to be with them?

Today was odd aswell as they were arranging a dinner with the guys in front of me and I just read my messages on my phone. Im just going to go and met some new people. Thanks ^^
 
By "too cool for you", I mean that they no longer want to associate themselves with you.
 
It would appear they've becoming addicted to Penis.

It's not uncommon these days I'm afraid, obviously they aren't really worth your time if they're gonna do that
