Backwards Compatibility with 80GB PS3

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I'm wondering if FF 7-12 (minus 11) will work on the 80 GB PS3 with the software compatibility not hardware bc. For those of you with the 80GB version do you know if they will work?

Im fairly certain that the 80GB has backwards compatability to both PSX and PS2. The 40 GB however does not. So you should be fine. Ill check it now one sec xD

EDIT: Yes it does. You can play PSX games on it. FF7 works fine. You have to create a internal memory card on the hard disk first.
