I absolutely love how each character in the story has their own vivid background that makes them who they are now, but which do you think is the most interesting of them all?

I really like Wakka's paradigm. Everything he has lived for and grown up to, make a 90 degree turn in the game. He gives up his favorite thing in the world to protect Yuna as her gaurdian. He becomes overwhelmed with guilt when it comes to him facing Seymour and Yevon- as it goes against the teachings. Also little does he know about Yuna's orientation with the Al Bhed, which he ultimately prejudice against them, not to mention Rikku. And thats only a fraction of it.

I absolutely love all the characters and just picking one (just to have yourself thinking of the others) is not easy

But...Auron! It seems like many he gave up so much (even his life) Shortly after the disappearance of Tidus' father, Auron started watching over him from afar at Jecht's request. In the game's present day, he along with Tidus is Yuna's guardian, as he was to her father. years before Auron attacked Yunalesca in a fit of rage after she revealed that Braska and Jecht needlessly gave their lives against Sin, she struck him down Despite his injuries, Auron managed to literally crawl all the way to Bevelle before his strength left him. He met Kimahri outside of the city, and requested him fulfill a promise that Auron made to Braska in his stead (that Yuna be moved to Besaid and have a peaceful childhood), before he died. At the end of the game, when Yu Yevon is defeated, he is finally laid to rest.

Not to mention he lost his brother Chappu to Sin, he had to keep an eye on Lulu who was Chappu's former girlfriend/wifey and he end up having feelings for her etc..

Wakka is definitely one of the most interest people with a formidable background in the game.

Kimahri:

He lost his pride becuz his most precious thing has been cut in half, his horn lol..he left his tribe and Im not sure who found him at the base of mount gagazet (I think Yuna) and from then on he swore to protect Yuna. Thats why he doesnt talk that much because he felt ashamed etc..

Does Rikku have a background story in FFX..........I know she's al bhed and I think she calls Cid pops..........Does that mean that Yuna is related to her somehow........Yuna's uncle is Cid,therefore if Rikku is Cid's daughter it's Yuna's nephew I think............but that's not really a background story is it?Can't remember anything else from her past, other than she was struck by lightining when she was little lol.(but that's not realy a background story either is it?)

Cid is the brother of Yuna's mother. Rikku and Brother are Cid's children. So yes, Rikku and Brother are cousins of Yuna, and Cid is her uncle. I think in general, Rikku is just fighting to end the pilgrimages so that summoners don't have to continue to sacrifice themselves; all Al Bhed seem to be against Yevon, recognizing that the last thousand years haven't been working and the cycle needs to be broken. The only thing I don't understand about her is why she immediately, upon meeting Yuna, becomes her guardian and has mountains of affection for her as though they were sisters. Yes, they're cousins, but they only JUST met at the time...I don't understand how she suddenly cares for Yuna with the passion of a thousand fiery suns.
